How many photos are there of El Cap taken from the valley floor? The Super Topo forum is inhabited with a unique group of people who insist on taking the trail less travelled by.
Let's start an ongoing library of images from perspectives few people see. I'll start with a few and add more over time.
Let's see yours!

There's no one there.
Mankind is social and agricultural based.
Without social and agriculture you would not even be able to go there.
No carrots, spinach and livestock wants to grow there.
You always need to return to your social and agriculture roots to really live.
Thus it's false renunciation ......

Ah Werner. When I go to remote corners of the globe my interest are in the topography and the wildlife. My least interest is in the people who have nearly always been despoilers.

In the spirit of the OP, El Cap, NOT from the Valley floor, but from the top of Lower Cathedral Rock. :-)
Helluva view!!!

The Minarets from one ridge West. This trail is hard to follow because it sees little travel. Topo map was a big help. This is the sunrise on an unexpected hike out when Mindy fell victim to altitude sickness.

Given it's proximity to civilization, I'll bet the summit of Lower Brother doesn't see a lot of visitors:

Nice photos of a suitably remote area Jim.
Here's some from my 1976 visit to Alaska's Hayes Range.
Mt. Deborah at left center. We climbed near the right skyline to the top of the spur-peak at right (Sally) & bivied while staring at Deborah's awesome North Face. Gaining a measure of sanity, we decided not to die while climbing Deborah's North Ridge & retreated.
Deborah's slighly smaller neighbor to the east is Mt. Hess. After giving up on Deborah, we let Hess try to kill us.
Then we explored Deborah's NW Ridge by climbing a high point.
Then there were the scenic glacier hikes.

You have me at a dissadvantage; I cannot compete with pictures from a place I have dreamt of going to and resigned myself to not going to because my wife gets mountain sickness at 7K. Back in the 80's I spent a summer mapping geology in Montana, and a couple of those weeks were spent in the Bitterroots being dropped off by helicopter on peaks and picked up a day or so later the same way. I still remember that place blowing my mind; The topography was amazing. But what slides I took at the time are lost.
A place that has captured my imagination in the last decade is the Winds. In fact, that place is the reason I am on this forum. The main trails are pretty heavily traveled, but is still inspiring.
Within 30 min, we were hit by typical Winds weather. Luckly, my partner found some shelter for us to dive into, giving me a little rarer viewpoint.
I gotta say, there is some really sweet stuff already. I may have to just wack mine.
Panning left we get the following sequence...
and
When it stopped, we head down the grassy goat trail back to camp where we were greeted with more rain and hail, lol! I love that place!

steelmnkey, that view of El Cap really shows what a cool line the Salathé is. The shadows are perfect.

It is a well known place in the Bitterroots and it is a perspective that is not all that common...

I've been on top of Lower Brother many times, but never at sunrise. Nice shot NutAgain. It is a truly amazing spot and garenteed to have it all to your self.

Haha, you have to screw up first to see sunrise on Lower Brother!
Eric, more than any other except maybe Werner (and maybe more than him?) you must have the goods on valley pics from uncommon perspectives. For every little formation I notice and say "hey what's that?" you probably have 2-5 new routes on it. So tantalize us!

Jim,
Nice thread!
I like that photo of Obama in front of an obvious painting by Thomas Hill.

I would love to see the view of Yosemite Falls from the belay inside the Narrows. The falls are perfectly framed from there. Anyone have that shot?
