"Debunking 911 Myths, an in-depth investigation by Popular Mechanics", is now in your bookstore. I bought it today. It has 107 pages plus Appendix etc.
The BYU prof that got this started has now been placed on paid leave. My understabding is that he is the same "expert" that was involved in the "cold Fusion" episode a few years ago. Some of you may know more about this than I do.
I believe he's coming out with a book on 911. Those of you with crystal pyramids on your heads can buy that one. I'm sure your hospital administrator will allow a few copies in the unit library.

Thanks so much Woody for that information. I have a good friend who's absolutely convinced that 911 was staged. I watched the C-SPAN program of these 911 guys and it was a joke. No evidence presented, just Bush-bashing nonsense. I was wondering if BYU would act.
Edit: I watched the footage of the towers falling earlier today and it wasn't from planted charges.

I think most of this nonsense comes from Bush haters. It's a way of getting at the administration. If you were to get the truth out of them--the 911 conspiracy types--they don't really believe it.

So the man who believes in a anti-semitic main-stream media conspiracy (http://www.supertopo.com/climbing/thread.html?topic_id=239197&msg=240242#msg240242); tells me that 9.11 conspiracy theories are bunk.
Thanks for the heads up.
By the way you have no idea what you are talking about:
"The BYU prof that got this started has now been placed on paid leave. My understabding(sic) is that he is the same "expert" that was involved in the "cold Fusion" episode a few years ago. Some of you may know more about this than I do. "
. . .but this is nothing new.

Actually Woody seems to have gotten the story acurately.
This BYU prof is a nut job. Preplaced charges indeed!
I mean I've heard of some crazy stuff coming out Utah County, but this tops all.
Just think about it.
You plant charges then hijack multiple aircraft to cover it up.
Huh?

Well, Handsome B, I reported what an article in the local newspaper stated about the BYU Prof. If the info is wrong, cite the correct information instead of simply saying my information was wrong.
He's been placed on paid leave.
Others in his department are to cover his classes.
He's coming out with a book on 911. He was part of the "Cold Fusion" incident a few years back.
Methinks, the fellow saw an opportunity to get his name in the news again and make some bucks. Hard to keep an ambitious guy down, particularly when there are plenty of suckers willing, for whatever reason, to follow along like Lemmings to the Sea of Obsurdity.

I know there are a ton of myths and I've love to see them accurately debunked. The article that Popular Mechanics ran a long whie back only tackled the easy and silly allegations and left out the serious problems that have been unaddressed by the 9-11 commission.
Did the Pakistani isi guy really wire Mohammed Atta $100, 000 and was this Pakistani guy really meeting with admistration officials on 9-11?
Was there really war games going on during 9-11 that put false blips on radar screens and took fighters away from NY? Did the terrorists find out somehow?
What about "Able Danger?"
Why did Bush claim to have seen a plane hit a tower before he went to read "My Pet Goat" to the kids when no such video was available at that time?
Why did the government fly Bin Laden's family out of the country after 9-11 without interogating them, when they rounded up 5000 other Muslims on slim or no charges and held them without counsel?
Why were the interviews with the air traffic controllers destroyed?
Did some of these things not happen? Whats in the book?
Peace

Karl,
Read the book and find out. You may still not agree with its explanations; but, if you refuse to read it, you identify yourself as one of the loons that " want " to believe the conspiracy theory because it satisfies some emotional need beyond reason, much like religious fundamentalists who refuse to believe the Earth is over eight-thousand years old.

Woody,
You're high if you think the conspiracy-types will believe anything printed in a book, especialy one published by someone with their well established good reputation on the line (such as Popular Mechanics).
These guys only believe what they read on The InterNet, written by partisan, political activists who have been repeatedly wrong before (Loose Change, Wayne Madsen, Daily Kos, Democratic Underground, "truth"out.org...etc).

Sure I'll read the book if you agree to read "Crossing the Rubicon" by Mike Ruppert.

Oh yeah Sketch, wasn't it Vince Foster or something like that?
Here is a site that I am sure a lot of right-twit wing-nuts probably salivate over:
SUDDEN INSTANT DEATH SYNDROME - A Clinton Disease - II
http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a387c13bb5565.htm
In some strange perverse way it is comforting to know that there are conspiracy nuts on both sides of the divide.
And I bet Clinton also had something to do with the disappearance of Chandra Levy. Probably raped and killed her and had his secret service minders dump her body.
http://control-alt-delete.ca/v-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=8147
But I have to agree with those people who say that considering how inept his administration is – and it is unless you are wearing rose-tinted glasses – that there is no way that Bush & Co could carry out 9-11 and still keep it a secret.
Unless he had the help of Clinton. Heh heh.
There is no doubt that Bush benefited from 9-11.
Style point – What is the accepted style in the States? 911, 9-11 or 9/11?

Wow Patrick, that link is pretty incredible. Amazing how many kooky conspiracies exist.
Either 9-11 or 9/11 is commonly used here.
