Post a pic of what you go climbing in.

I noticed a need for a thread like this. Maybe one already exists but anyway...

Big or small. truck or car. Post a pic of your beast!

Thinking about ditching my 2002 Toy Highlander buying a new Subie Outback. Anyone have any feed back on the Outback? Can it be set up to sleep in (comfortably)?

My buddy just got one. You can definitely sleep in it. Actually two of my climbing buddy's just got them. Done some fun off-roading in both. The new one gets good gas mileage

are 2 different questions. I'm going to answer the first, because it's more fun.

I want to go to Witham Army Disposal Yard in England, pick out one of these bad boys, have it shipped to Houston, and drive it home across the southwest.

I just finished a install of a new 4.6 V8 a few months ago so it's ready for the summer.
1988 Land Rover Defender 130 Crew Cab right hand drive.
I have had it for 11 years and it is pure fun to drive.

I go climbing in my shoes....

The type of vehicle doesn't matter.
Location is all important, though.
You park it near the climbs and then leave it and get to the climbing.

Biking from Copenhagen to the crags in Sweden with my buddy Peter.

Problem was that Peter could maintain a relaxed conversation while holding 40 km/h. I couldn't.

Ok this isn't really a vehicle but I would definitely be stoked to have one at a place like jtree or something. Kind of excessive but definitely badass.

Now that's about as nice a standard truck bed set up as I've seen, well done. I got hooked on the VW van path long ago, and its hard to give up a standing room living room, but this isn't half bad.

Here's the first van I owned:

Kind of a cult thing, don't know that I'd recommend it as the "ultimate". The 91 Vanagon I've presently got is warmer, faster, more dependable, but it's still an overpriced fetish object, and disturbingly attractive to mouse infestations.
