Wow. R.I.P. Nelson.
He tried to make the world a better place.
Most would agree that he did.

Watching the fall and fallen leaves being tossed by the wind outside my french doors. Whirling around, random beauty.
Words like creation, planet, creatures, life, human beings, love, hate, help, dedication and peace flow through my brain.
I admired Mandela and Martin Luther King and others. But I know in my heart each of us can be them in a microscopic way, impacting the world around us for good. But do we?
I don't know really, what RIP means. When you are dead, then what? I doubt the word rest applies.

Like the wind no one can see, but only observe its effects, I believe there is indeed an invisible world, Locker. We may continue to decompose, but who we are will always live on.

I always liked that the Brits had a climb named Mandela cause when it went up on aid they thought it would take 30 years to be freed

Agree he was a great man, at least as far as I know, but we shouldn't forget that no one is perfect, all humans make mistakes, and powerful people usually abuse their power to some extent and it's a mistake to just worship them blindly.
For example, wasn't his wife more-or-less a common criminal who was involved in the murder and torture of various people, and he used his power to protect her and cover up her crimes? This is just from memory; I didn't Google it, but I'm sure there was something going on.

The 26 years he spent in jail would have destroyed most people. His was a remarkable life.
