So I got this photo of Baby Jesus and I'm thinking, Didn't our Savior come from, like, the Middle East? So why does Baby Jesus look like a Swede?
Just sorter wunderin'

John,
This thread could go a million different ways.
Don't get me started on Religion. My views have changed over the years.

How many Americans (or Euros, for that matter) would worship a brown person?

I can't speak for all, but I would. It's all about values, not skin-color.
And Jesus was a Semite, A Jew. Prolly olive-skinned, or Italian looking.

i can gurantee you that He had/has shoulder length black hair. most likely how He will look when your time has come to meet Him face to face. i had a very vivid encounter with Him hanging on the cross between heaven and earth. AKA as a vision, when I was 19 years old. i couldn't see his face, i was looking down from directly above (Dudes ripped, btw) very heavy experience, perhaps i will share it here sometime. Cheers!

Sounds like standard Seeker's Vision number ten, Splitter. :) I know you got religion.
I'd be interested in hearing the story, someday, as well.

Not your ordinary baby, virgin birth and all. I guess that means he doesn't look like mom.

Think about genetics, and parentage. Its obvious innit? God has the genes of Dolph Lundgren.
Though thinking about genetics is the first step towards thinking about science, and evolution, and all sorts of difficult things. So probably best stop thinking.

Even today, there is a wide variation of skin tones in the Middle East.
In New Testament times...were members of the tribe of Judah lighter? I don't know...but there were Egyptian pharoahs that archeologists have manifest as "red-haired".
Was Christ blonde? I suppose it's possible...but I wouldn't paint a blonde characterization because I doubt many, including the faithful, would peep forth for more than two seconds...
but blondeness has its place in Creation...

Yep...create them, give them faith and then test it....find some wanting and throw them into everlasting hell fire. Could be a great Reality Show....much more knarly than just kicking them off of the island.

I guess you get to represent your myth anyway you want. Pretty picture. Don't like it? Make up your own myth. The possibilities are endless.
