Don't know if that's good or bad. Died in disgrace but avoided jail time. hmmmm

Good potential for conspiracy theory: Rove and Cheney had him bumped off perhaps.

They should make his corpse do the life sentence.

Because he died before he was sentenced, his conviction doesn't count.

Rich guys always get off.

They should make his wife do the time. Remember that hag blubbering on TV about how they had to sell one of their private jets or something to cover the bills? I had to sell my helicopter recently and let me tell you, it really brought me down a notch.

Maybe they should make a pinata out of the corpse and fill it with cash. Then let all the people who's retirements he destroyed take a few whacks at him.

It's too bad that he had to die in Aspen, convicted, shamed, and now death by heart attack in Aspen! Cool kids die on a yacht or island, not crappy Aspen it's way to close to common folk.

I can finally relax on my yacht now that Yo has stopped buzzing me in his chopper.

Yo, I thought I was helping clear your back yard for an organic garden, what's this I hear about a LZ for your chopper. And Ron I've got some oceanfront property in Washington Co. for you, unless Skilling bid on it all ready.

Sorry Jody, I don't know what I was thinking. Already being dead he won't feel any pain. So why bother?

yeesh! I knew where that one of Jody's was going and I read it anyway. No one to blame but myself.

Back to K.Lay, anyone know if there is a way to commit suicide and have it look a like a heart attack? Say, if something unpleasant was coming up?

What's your theory Jaybro?
Life insurance scam for the wife?

I thought of this on the way home from work: I wonder which politicians will attend the funeral.

Slobodan Milosevic managed to kick off at a convenient time, also. Monkeying with his own medicine or something. And the guy behind Bre-X, I forget his name.

I suspect a cardiologist would identify these guys as being in a high-risk group.

In Canadian law, if the defendant dies at any point between the laying of charges and sentencing, the case is considered to have "abated". Strange term.

Sadly, doesn't do much for justice.

"Life insurance scam for the wife?"
Wouldn't put it past him, Ron, but that would be doing something for someone else's benefit, so I'm back with fear of the shower.

I am curious exactly what the remaining Lay kin and kith are left with greenback wise. I mean pops, RIP, looted all those orphans and widers of their retirement funds and I suspect the aforementioned hag (the deeply grieving wife) is still living the lush life. How could they let the family even keep a dime?

But indeed, a shroud has no pockets . . .

Nobody knows, least of all the family. The estate will be facing a continuing attack on both criminal and civil fronts. This information has already been published many news media.

Hint: lawyers smell money as well as sharks smell blood.

Tookie Williams was more popular on this forum than Ken Lay who employed 1000s?

Actually John I think that Florida bankruptcy law permitted him to keep the multimillion dollar condo as a primary residence.
