I saw this story this morning and thought of posting it but didn't know where.
Say what you will of the man based on what ever political perspective you have been presented. But the picture portrays an actual human and humane moment. If you did not know the names it would be a moving image. This was not a tawdry photo-op. There is real grief and compassion shown. And he knew full well the opinions and reactions of the radical fundamentalists. It was actually a brave move that may in time help lessen the influence of hardliners.
Ron, take a breath, settle down and let me elucidate.
I think if you look outside the box you see two people sharing grief for the loss of a loved one.
You have been to funerals before right?. Stripped of all rhetoric and politics I see it as an encouraging sign of his humanity. He will face internal back lash to be sure.

Don't get me wrong. I object to fundamentalism of all kinds and find it's presence in even our own political system repugnant. I am not a fan or FaceBook friends with the man. But he is a man, a human and can be reached by humans.
He has killed 5000 times more than Aurora or Sandy hook- women children et all.
And that is less than a drop in Bush's bucket or barrel as the case may be.
What your one sided myopia forgoes noticing is that when one of Spurious George ShrubBub's folks die and world leaders gather to share and collect tears there will be extremists just like you - well actually they will probably have better tans and fuller beards - saying things just like you - well actually it will probably entail more Ululating - but mostly ignoring the essential humanity of us all. Just like you.

As usual you've put your keen intellect to work and missed the point.
We as a species have done many unspeakable things in our evolution and progression. Not all the peoples of the world are as enlightened as you are Ron. And there are native aboriginals somewhere that still eat people and don't know about AngryBirds and Twitter but give them time. We all need time to grow.
