I recently published my book and managed to set up a website, joefitschen.com. Click the Going Up tag to find out about the book and then click the Buy Going Up tag. For now the book is only available through the website as I dislike Amazon's cannibalization of the publishing industry. Probably pissing in the wind, but sometimes symbolism is all that you can manage. I will also publish blog posts from time to time. The second one, I think, will be about Fitschen's Folly East. (Fitschen's Folly West is covered in the book along with stories of all the other old guys.)

Right on Joe, I'll check it out. Climbing with you a few years back at the AAC climb in at Royals house is a highlight of my climbing career.

Just ordered the book. How very fun to have had a sneak peek last Spring. :D

Can I just say for the record that all you guys calling yourselves "old" or "fossil", etc. easily give me a run for my money, so I'm not buyin' it, okay?!

Looking forward to meeting you at the Oakdale Climbers Festival!

Good stuff, Joe!

I've had to fight Cindy to get my hands on it, but I love the only slightly OT musings in between the memorable climbing stuff. Lots to identify with there. Also liberated some memories that had been tangled up in cobwebs until now. There's a pic of me in.... what kind of rappel rig? How did we survive those years?

Thanks.

Read this book!!!

It's what you hope for in every other book, but only truly find once in a blue moon.

Joe, thank you for writing such a wonderful work of literature!

It'd be so cool to have Joe come out with a bunch of his books and attend Ed Cooper's presentation on Saturday night then attend the Oakdale Climbers' Festival the following weekend. He'd probably sell out of his books, but that might not pay for his plane fare.

Any chance Lila Biene could bring a box of books as luggage? The sales would probably pay for the luggage charge. But I guess we can just buy them directly from Joe.
