Couldn't find a recent thread on this--what are you driving/sleeping in? Any clever stealth minivan conversions out there?

I have a '06 Tundra with a topper. I built a sleeping platform in the back that is just tall enough to slide a cooler underneath. Someone taller than 6' would have a rough go with this setup, but two can sleep comfortably legs fully stretched. My mtn bike can slide easy enough on top.

I drove a Chevy Astro for years. Super comfy for in-car camping. With the rear seats removed, this 6'4" gangly freak could stretch out and still have legroom to spare. I made some "curtains" out of thick black poster paper. A nuclear bomb could've gone off and I wouldn't have seen it. Astros were built on a truck chassis, so it had pretty good ground clearance, RWD, and enough power to handle some fairly rough terrain. Lots of good times and fond memories. A few too many good times perhaps, which eventually led to its demise when the engine (its second) chewed itself to pieces (as it had with the first one).
