Yeah it's old news, but in cases like this, it's like having your favorite leftovers again.
Besides, now that the case went to trial, he can deal with it all over again, I HOPE.
I say, put him under the jail. Let all those drug abusers he railed against take a piss on him.

Look God intended him to abuse drugs. Why fight it?
He must have been named Rush for a reason.
Why compromise your own principles to punish him if you don't believe in punishing others the same way? I don't like Rush's hypocrisy so why jump on board with him?
Get him some treatment and make sure he gets fixed. Then maybe he'll see that is a wise course of action.

I'll tell you one thing, those drugs suck bigtime after a few days.
Talk about a hangover.
How people can do them for weeks and months is way beyond me.
If I never see another oxy-whatever it will be too soon.

I'm 100% against the "War On Drugs". We didn't establish Government to tell us what we can and cannot eat, drink, smoke, snort, swallow, slam, or whatever.
Drug abuse has it's own consequences. Alcoholism rots your liver, smoking causes lung cancer, meth causes you to lose your teeth, etc. I understand Limbaugh is deaf because he fooled around with whatever he was into. What's the Government going to do to him, three years probation? Pay some money? THAT will teach him!
The Government has no more business prosecuting people for screwing their lives up with drugs than they do prosecuting people for burning their hand on the stove.
But being a free country, if you support the so-called "War On Drugs", and prosecuting people like Limbaugh "for their own good", that's your right.

He might have lost his hearing but look how he slimmed down!
Win some, lose some
Losing his hearing seemed karmic since he wasn't listening anyway.
But no more Big Fat Liar as Franken called him.
I wish him the very best. So best in fact, that he might open up enough to see things from other perspectives.
Which is something that's good for everybody, myself included
Peace

That's pretty funny Dingus.
Yes black humor is a large part of a chronic and disasterous medical 'experience'.
The war on drugs is foolish, no doubt. That So-called war has raised prices of drugs to a point where crime is the only way to support a habit, made other criminals rich, and made decent pain relief difficult to obtain for those who really need it.
Wasted resources, decreased respect for the laws of the land, distraction from more serious problems, and a failure to treat the real cause of drug abuse are just the high points.
I don't know why you Karma hounds want to absolve yourselves and the rest of us of the responsibility to DO something about morons like Limbaugh. Karma is a great notion, if you just want to float down the river of life like a raft, at the mercy of the current. Limbaugh causes grief, period. He is now hoisted on his own petard, and I hope he gains the full measure of contempt, and punishment which he truly deserves.
The thing that would hurt him most is, loss of respect and loss of money. But he will probably get a slap on the wrist, keep on living in luxury, keep right on spouting his crap, and basically live happily ever after.

Good advice, effendi. Still, one must worry about the poor dittoheads. Their hero is a drug addict defended by the ACLU. It must be hard for them to process so much information contradictory to their instruction.
Is Rush still anti-ACLU?

If you don't believe in the way the war on drugs is being fought, you'd be a hypocrite to use the war on drugs to punish Limbaugh. Why lower yourself?
It's how you treat your enemies that shows your character more than how you treat your friends.

"What this says to me is that too many whites are getting away with drug use. Too many whites are getting away with drug sales. Too many whites are getting away with trafficking in this stuff. The answer to this disparity is not to start letting people out of jail because we're not putting others in jail who are breaking the law. The answer is to go out and find the ones who are getting away with it, convict them and send them up the river, too."

Karl, Character is what people like Limbaugh want people like us to have, in matters regarding them.
Limbaugh is an evil, unconcionable, disingenuous man, who has reveled in torturing the truth and in fact grown rich doing that.
Why waste your good will on someone so undeserving?
Surely there are more worthy recipients of your grace.
And just to save time, if I were able, I'd off Hitler in a second, in 1939, or before, and sleep very well thank you. Didn't someone say that all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing?
BTW, about the FDA and marijuana, Marinol is a prescription drug, very good against nausea, restores appetite, thus is good treatment for chemo side effects, and 6 or 7 years ago was put on a less rigid narcotics schedule. (It once was schedule 2)

Personally I wouldn't mind if Rush was serving 25 years to life somewhere.
I just don't want to be hypocrite enough to send him up for something I don't think should be a prison kind of offense.
I want fair so I try to give fair.
"Why waste your good will on someone so undeserving?
Surely there are more worthy recipients of your grace. "
Totally selfish reasons. The more you give to the undeserving, the more the grace comes back to you. Good will is much more powerful if directed at those you distain. I don't care about Rush, I care about me.
