Amigos,

If you see some cheapo cams sold with a nail polish pink dot at the base of the stems, please pray for the soul of the guy with me. I don't care that he got away with about 8K worth of gear by breaking the window in my car on Mission and 24th in San Fran. The only thing that I am upset about is that my climbing trip and some of the climbing season is ruined. I am lucky that my renter's insurance would consider to cover this.

Let the guy know that he is wrong in a bad way. And that he may steal my gear, but still can't ruin my adventures :)

Don't leave anything in the cars in San Fran.

Probably an occupier.

Or heroin addict.

Check Pawn shops. I'll keep an eye out in the Sacramento Craigslist.

This is so lame always reading these reports of gear stolen out of vehicles especially in SF or major metropolitan areas.

You have have to be just plain stupid to leave your gear in a vehicle in these places these days.

Use your fuking brains people.

Lock that sh!t up in a bomber bolted down box.

Even way back in the 80's people made their own bolted down lockable gear storage boxes for their vehicles.

Unbelievable .....

You think a climber took the gear? Right now some junkie is trying to figure out WTF it is and whether it worth anything.

I'm sorry about your gear, but 8K worth of stuff at 24th and Mission?? You should have just put it all on the street to at least avoid the broken window.

Erik kills it again with a post that almost had me spit juice all over the keyboard!

"How do you know it was a "he"? Did you check "his" panties for a c*#k? This is San Fran after all"

Dang that was some funny sh*t!! One of the better one liners in awhile on here.

I blame the failed policies of Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris and the SF Board of Supervisors - the worst governmental body not located in Pyongyang. Oh, and blame rent control too.

Any one who lives in SF knows that Mission area is pretty f*#ked up place and stealing stuff is pretty normal around there and why do you leave $8k worth of gear in the freaking car ?

You left gear (or anything else) in a car at 24th and Mission.....? What do you expect. That area has always been I high theft zone all my life. I grew up in The City and spent more than my fair share of time in the Mission. I would never leave anything in my car in any part of the city.
Sorry about the loss. I will keep my eyes open.

i wouldn't leave a moldy, half eaten burrito visible in my locked car in that area. some poor soul will see value in it and steal it.

The drill is/was don't leave anything in car, leave doors unlocked so the window doesn't get broken.

Look on the bright side, you get new gear thanks to that chick breaking into your car.

Check provenance of all climbing gear on Craig's list.

Going forward, hire fattrad to guard your vehicle. He comes cheap.

EDIT: How did I know fat would be popping right up?

What I wanna know FAT is you gonna catch the gal or not. You could prolly remote-handle it with one of your drone fleet.

Bang!

I didn't know you were from Hunter's Point. Wasn't the food great?
