I thought it was buried pretty deep in that other post, so:
Wonder is REALLY Punk Roy???? Tell me something that only you and I would know......
Peat Minks has passed??? Heard a rumour, but nothing more. I can look into it a bit if you really want to know. Maybe Strappo has some info... or Crusher..... we'll see.

"Pete Minks dead??" I don't think so. I saw him a couple weeks ago in Tahoe City, toothless and full of energy. Haven't heard of any accidents involving him.
That guy totally astounds me.
He's working at Alpine Meadows ski area.
Now, Dennis Miller is another story. He's on his death bead in Wyoming. A friend of mine went to see him a few weeks ago and said its pretty grim.......

Sad but true. He's got some kind of skin cancer and, according to my friend who visited him, won't last much longer. Apparently he's got a group of good friends that are taking care of him.

Dennis was one of the valley originals. He was the valley stand up comic.

He was a friend of mine, also. He's the only person I've ever seen slide a french fry in his mouth with his teeth clenched (he was missing a molar).
BTW-Werner, thanks for saving my VERY EXPENSIVE binoculars, so many years ago, on the road beneath El Cap!!

We were standing on the road scoping out something on the large stone in the grand ditch when one of the strap ends came undone. You grabbed them like some ninja from hell as they headed to the pavement.
They're Steiner marine binocs with the compass on top.

Yes, yes now I remember, they are very valuable binos not to be dropped and damaged.
If you see or contact Dennis give him my best wishes.

He had melanoma in 2004. Surgery was considered successful,
big fundraising party in Sept 2004.
It came back with a vengeance this Fall, and has gotten into
his bones. He had a fun birthday party Nov 25 at the brewery
in Jackson Hole ("This may be my last birthday party, but it
sure as hell ain't my funeral. If anybody feels sorry for me
I'll beat him up.") He's going to Idaho Falls for chemo. He
does have a great support group.
He'd like to see everyone one more time, I'm sure.
I'll try to get more details.

Well what the phuck is the edit button for? Ok I'll change it back just for you Klaus.
Yep but that ain't what we saw up on that moutain.
I think it was Dennis and Dale Bard trying to launch Bobo's ashes over the side on the Dana Plateau and updrafts blew all the ashes back up in everyones face.
