Voted #4 place in the country to go rock climbing!!!
TENSLEEP SALOON AND RESTAURANT - INCLUDES PROPERTY AND TURNKEY OPERATION. Owner is ready to sell this turnkey saloon and restaurant. Sale price includes nearly everything, i.e. liquor license, food and beverage in stock at time of sale, pool table, kitchen and bar equipment with the exception of a few personal items like taxidermy mounts. Lock, stock and barrel. A Chicago style pizza oven by Blodgett has produced a following of loyal customers. We have also installed a char broiler and flat-top oven on which we produce award winning baby-back ribs. Sysco Food Service has just revealed that we sell more ribs than anyone in the Big Horn Basin. All food recipes are included at no additional cost. Includes real property of a 2750 SF building on a 9000 SF lot in the heart of downtown Ten Sleep. Many improvements to the property and building have been done. There are too many to list, must see to appreciate.

Beautiful Ten sleep Wyoming on highway 16. Ten Sleep is on the route to Yellowstone National park. EXCELLENT TOURIST BUSINESS. Bikers from all over the country going to and from Sturgis. Hunters from everywhere migrate to Ten Sleep. Business from rock climbers has increased greatly over the past year. Word among the rock climbers is that this is the place to go for rock climbing and they feel this is the place to have lunch and dinner followed by evening entertainment. The Big Horn Mountain Ski Resort was re-opened this past year and there are also many snowmobile trails on the mountain bringing the winter business back to life. Ten Sleep also has several large events throughout the year which include the 4th of July Rodeo followed by Nowoodstock in August. Both are very profitable for local businesses.

Sounds perfect for a climber.

Saloon operation is night work, mainly. Frees up your days for climbing.

It's possible to drink and run a bar, simultaneously at the same time ( at least it was in my case ) especially if you live in the bar.

Who wants to lay out some capital? I could run that place like no-one's bidness. How about it? I'm thinking maybe four people could make a living with this one, although I'd have to see the books. How about an asking price?

By whom? I'm sure it's a great place to climb, with a variety of things to do. But it's hardly on a par with Yosemite, Tahquitz, Joshua Tree, Boulder, RMNP, the Needles, the Shawangunks, and on and on.

After another tough night in the kitchen, I'm ready to do it for myself. The problem is twofold. I know how much work it takes to run your own place and I have no capital. I could sell all my real property or borrow on my and my wife's good credit but both of those plans are not something we are yet willing to do. If someone smart flashed an opportunity in my face, I could make it happen. If I was younger, I would take more risks than I'm willing to now. But it does sound like a fun adventure.

Anders, it might not be a climbing mecca and as far as I know, it is in an isolated part of Wyoming, but it is centrally located for easy trips to a lot of great areas for recreating. With the internet, you can take your culture with you. Sort of.

edit-- johntp, yes I am serious. If the right person came along with the capital, I would do it. I have ran places of this size before. Some I regret, others were great times.

Medusa=Leghumper - wahahahahahahaaaaa!

I haven't met most of y'all yet and it's good to know that hanging around here lets me know who the azzholes are before I even meet ya at the crags.

(medusa, I hope yer at least a bit like Bluey - He may be a tough nugget for some of you to chew here on the 'tubes, but he's super chill out on the rock - more climbers could definitely be a class act like him (well, except for those leering eyes, I always feel like he's undressing me ;))

Now about that saloon… I'ma go break my piggybank and get a map to find out where this WY place is.

Are the winters there as harsh as most of northern Wyoming?

Great for skate skiing though and that, keeps you young!

So we got a redneck bar serving an evolving redneck sportclimbing area. Tons of other stuff in season.
Sounds like a great opportunity for someone, not sure if it would work for a teatotlling vegeterian all 'rounder, who likes the seclusion, but would generally rather be climbing cracks....

still, has some possibilities....
