Hey,
Noticed the other thread.
I'm a Walmart fan.
It's got its goodness.
Climbers are supposed to be open-minded.
I'm new to this site, so maybe it's just here, I don't know.
What??? the narrow-mindedness...
Hope it's not everyone...
Anyways, we have a new one going in
here in Gardnerville, NV. Can't wait!
Inexpensive products. I feel sorry for all
you "dissers" who pay so much more. Maybe
it's because you don't know what you're
missing. Maybe.
I'm not fat, either.

Apogee, initially I thought you were a supporter.
From your links. Then I read a post on the other thread.
What IS your stance?
If it weren't for Walmart driving competition, thousands of our little towns (like Minden, Gardnerville) would have these small "quaint" ma and pa shops charging an arm or leg for their products. Shops in Lone Pine
come to mind. Is it better to pay $8 bucks! for a cannister of stove
propane? (Compare $2.50 at Walmart.) C'mon! Or $300 for a two-man tent at a small sport shop when you can get it for $30-- yes, that's right! --
at Walmart?
Plenty of fat people at Walmart. But that's not a
Walmart problem, that's a personal discipline problem.
Yes, during winter, I climb in a gym to stay fit.
No worries about Sharkey's!

You are what you eat.
Dave- I've seen it before.
The problem isn't Walmart. The problem
underlying "The Story of Stuff" is population.
That's the 800 pound gorilla in the room that
nobody wants to talk about.

one thing i love about chicago is that we have a ban on wallmart.
