A quality, very sustained steep edging slab up cool golden and black rock. Starting with easy knobs, then a short runout on some friction, Metalhead gets progressively more difficult for the first 60 feet. At the 4th bolt, take a rest, because except for one not-so-great rest spot, the next 70 feet are sustained low 5.10 thin slab. The route is very tightly bolted after the 4th bolt. Grab the tree at the top and climb around the right side to keep the rope from running over the tree; a two-bolt anchor is on the big ledge just right of the tree.
