OK, you chubbies, Joshua Tree climbing season is here!
Who needs to drop some weight?
I do. I am currently at 181, and would love to weigh 165, but would settle for 171.
The Rules:
Kinda like before, but a little different:
Lose 10 pounds in one month. October 1-31. Final weigh in November 1st morning.
At the end of the month if you did not lose the 10 pounds, you pay $10 for every pound you did not lose. This money goes in to a pool to be split by the people who did lose the 10 pounds.
Two week weigh in. You must have lost 5 pounds, or you pay $10 to the pool.
Once you are in, you are in. No withdrawing, unless something catastrophic happens to you.
Everything handled through PayPal. No checks. Don't have a PayPal account? Get one, or don't participate.
People who do not meet final goal, be prepared to pay up in a REASONABLE amount of time.
People who do meet final goal, be prepared to provide me an address to send you the money in a REASONABLE amount of time.
Edit:
No pictures, or starting weight needed. Honor system.
At midpoint and end, don't need actual weight, just how many pounds lost.
Maybe more rules later, but that is all i can think of right now.
So, who's in?

Hmm, sounds fun. I haven't been lighter then 223 in about 8 years and I am 229 now. That sounds like a heck of a challenge!...
Well I am in.

I'm out. I'd rather just send the $100 to the folks buying Index for climbers than publicly display my lack of willpower and weakness's and have to pay $100.
Good luck
Side note: I am currently 167.

OK. I'm in. As I'm officially coming out of lurker status, I'll play for ASCA should I meet the goal... and give an equivalent amount to them should I fail to meet the weigh-in.
I've met some of you (Karl Baba, Rich Goldstone, Hardman Knott, ...), but seldom post online anymore.

Todd,
Welcome aboard, and good luck.
I will match what you give to your charity.
I think they do great work.

Rough start with you and nature "bitch slapping" each other and then deleting posts.
Stay tuned folks , this should be very entertaining.

FF,
funny, and good point.
here's the skinny.
I didn't call it DCII cuz the last one was Susan's gig, which i was admin for. I originally messed up, and then i believe that i finally got it right.
I don't think that Russ and Susan were happy with me because of how i handled it, and have had no communication with them since then.
I didn't call this one DC cuz that was officially Susan's handle on the the last one, and didn't know how she or Russ would feel about me starting another one with the same name, and other ST'rs feeling that she might be associated with it.
I pooched the last one, but guarantee that i have learned from my mistakes, and will get this one right.
I think that Todd had a great idea, and i feel that all proceeds should go to the ASCA.
I contacted Nature off site and we swapped e mails about changing the name to something that would be more easily recognized.
I am retarded when it comes to computers, and really don't know how to do anything with them.
I gave Nature my log in name and password so that he could do what he wanted with this thread, but haven't heard back from him.
I think that the best thing for us to do would be for us to raise money for the ASCA with this event.
I would be very happy to have someone rename the thread to something more recognizable so that we could accomplish this.
I am open for ideas on what to rename it.
