After hiking a 100+ pound pack of gear, and a 20+ pound pack full of beers up the yosemite falls trail- waiting through thunder, lightning, rain, snow, and wind seemed easy. It was all worth it for those few semi-sunny days that allowed a small group of us to successfully climb, rig, and walk the lost arrow spire highline in the first week of June. This was the first spire trip where more girls sent the line than boys! Below are just a few pictures of my full man free solo walk of the spire on June 6th. Just for further reference if you go to yosemite in june... bring warm clothes and bug spray! keep sending hard everyone!

Matt,

if you're soloing only for pro photographers then you're soloing for the wrong reason. Soloing isn't about who is there.

I think that the intensity of these photos rests with the ability for a person to imagine themselves out there walking the line, sans pro. If you can't imagine it, or have a personality that precludes you from picturing yourself out there (for whatever reason), then it's ho-hum.
