The 2008 SuperTopo Charity Auctions raised over $10,000 for climbing non-profits and Central Asia Institute. In 2009 it will be hard to top $10,000 but that won't keep me from trying!

My first auction of the year features mostly books and a few SuperTopo T Shirts I found. All these items start bidding at $0.90 but you can also "Buy It Now." 100% of proceeds goes to Non-profits.

 Yosemite Free Climbs signed by famous Yosemite Climbers

 Tuolumne Free Climbs signed by famous Yosemite Climbers

 4 SuperTopo XL T Shirts

 1 SuperTOpo Small T Shirt

 Seconds of all the SuperTopo Titles

THE BASIC IDEA (that i hope more people will emulate)
1) I grab all slightly blemished books return by book stores AND all the stuff from my garage I have not used in a year
2) list items on eBay
3) the auction for the item is then promoted on SuperTopo
4) 100% proceeds go to non-profits

WHO BENEFITS:

1) NON-PROFITS: 100% of proceeds goes to the non profits listed below. Non-profits need support now more than ever
2) YOU - you get a good deal on gear while feeling good that 100% of your purchase goes to a good cause.
3) THE EARTH - idle stuff is being put back to use (supports reuse economy)
4) ME - I de-clutter my life and get rid of extra books


In 2008 SuperTopo members raised the following
$5000 for Central Asia Institue match by $5000 from Rowell Award
$500 for Yosemite Climbing Assn
$2500 for Access Fund
$250 for CRAGS
$100 for Kismet Rock Foundation
$100 for Kumbu Climbing School
$25 for South Eastern Climbers Coalition
$10 for Gunks Climbers' Coalition Rescue

Thanks Guy... hmm, sighning it. going to be touch because its an all black shirt... maybe i can find a silver pen.

Also, i forgot to mention in the auction that if you win multiple items, you only have to pay the shipping price for one item.
