When: Sunday, April 12th, 2009 8:00AM
Information: Volunteers Needed to help restore climbing trails at Joshua Tree, Sunday April 12, 8am at the Echo Rock parking lot. We (ACSD, Access Fund, concerned climbers) will be working with the park to delineate the best trails in the Echo Rock area, and eliminate redundant social trails. We will be marking the trails with rocks and restoring unneeded trails using vertical mulching. After camping Saturday night, we will meet at Echo Rock 8-11 am Sunday.
Please bring water, sunscreen, hats and work clothes & shoes. The park will supply materials, tools and gloves. The park has agreed to let us camp for free Saturday night Apr 11 (after 6pm) at the volunteer group campsite near Lost Horse. Please carpool since there is very limited parking. We need people to sign up soon so they know we have enough people to accomplish the goals. We also need to have a list of who is signed up to use the campsite. Anyone camping at the volunteer site is required to work on Sunday morning.
