Chris, if you want to do this, it would be kind of a layup to get Randy to put together a form that has section, date, title and link so that you could manage it. It could even autobump for you or simply update the time so that the post rose back to the top.
Or he could just do date, title, and link in the form, click a button and it generates a string that you copy and paste into your existing edit function. (He could set you up so that it does not check the posting date, so that it would not stop you n days later.)
