I say the idea is nonsense.
This was discussed a month or so ago--splitting the forum. If I was swift on the search, I'd cite the thred here. Folks came down on both sides, for various reasons. My thinking (as someone recently noted) is that this is a Climbers forum, not specifically a Climbing forum. It's like we're sitting around the virtural campfire. Some folks are drinking beer, others coffee. Yeah, it's 7am, but shucks, we're all climbers and it's the communitiy that I'm interested in.
Is it really difficult to denote which threds are climbing related when you scroll through the topic headings?
It isn't for me.
Now a thred on the worst movie? I'll let that one pass off the first page.

Saw that thread. It is not a mutually exclusive thing. You can wander from one campfire to another, or not, as you like. Just you would have to be "in the know" to know where the climbing-topics-only campfire was.

I'm not sure, what do you think TG-
The conversation gets pretty dull around here at times, so why not spice it up a little bit? TradlsGood

To each their own. Personally, I like talking and arguing (debating) about different topics. As much as I'd like to be able to live and breathe climbing sometimes, there are other things in life. Anyway, there seems to be some intelligent people on this site, even if I don't agree with them.
So I'll pass.

Hootervillian - been thinking, but not doing, all week. Can't find anyone else who wants to take day off on a day with ideal weather. Still got 20%'ish chance on tmrw though.
drift alert - is the *asterisk* thing gender-linked trait.
Back to normal programming.
