Someone (nameless for now) just sent this pic to me.
Who is the fine young gentleman on the right? Name at least one Valley FA he is responsible for.
Bonus points if you can name the young las on the left.
One person (you know who you are, yes you...) is ineligible. Ken, you should bow out, too.

Uhhh... Dennis, perhaps you have not seen my contests on here? All for fun and I send out vintage postcards to the winner if they want. Other than that reason, I don't know. Oh yes! It's better than the politics, religious diatribes and the ilk. And, it's sorta climbing related...
By the way, congrats on that Baffin trip with Doug!

Yup, that Dennis Hennek. Be nice, everyone - his last appearance here was almost a year ago. I'm sure he'd have lots to contribute to SuperTopo, and could engage in repartee with old and new friends. So let's not frighten him off, eh?

Rich isn't credited with the Nose. But he was on Coonyard, Arches Terrace FA and FFA, Hangover Buttress, and FFA of the left side of Phantom Pinnacle. There are some others that I cannot recall. Rich is a very cool guy and fun to talk to.

Yes, Salamanizer... it is Mr. Calderwood.
I agree with roger that he was not credited with the FA on the Nose (did help out though.) He did do some nice lines like Coonyard and the Arches Terrace stuff.
Dennis, I hope my initial reply was not snarky... I did not mean for it to be!
So... any guesses on the lady in the photo? How is she related to our gang here on ST? (Hint, she is not related to Calderwood.)

CONFUSION: why are some the members of the Nose FA not attributed for the FA? Why just the people during the last push to the summit?
Because an "ascent" is not consummated and valid until the summit is reached?
Or, because all the hard pitches are at the top, and the lower ones were really, really easy?
In my book, the first ascent of the Nose was done by, among others, Rich Calderwood.
