Bushman, thank you for the poem.
We had some of those guys in the family. Here's Fred Coy, MD, in his pilot outfit. His plane was "Kentucky Gal"

At the Hilltop

At nine hands high and
Slightly smaller than the front door
I duck out my back door
Round it opens wide
With squeaking needs a touch of oil

Out into the garden
On the east slope rising
Where the finches flutter
As the trail winds under fig trees
Through the grapevines

At the hilltop
Where my favorite bench
Looks off into the sunrise
Not so far unknown horizons
But safe for now

In the springtime
Flows the creek bed where
Young hobbits swim in warmer months
Down across the pastures here
With these memories go I

Good one. Memories at sunrise.
Almost Bushido. You would have made a good Samuri.
And thank you for the wonderful memories of my Uncles, both now flying in other skies.

Mouse, that is a beautiful image. Is that from Lord of the Rings? One of the signal fires. Along the North Sea coast of Scotland, the signal towers still stand. The signal towers in LOTR always remind me of the towers along the North Sea.
Beautiful image.
It was 19F here early this morning when I went in for PT. Waling without the crutches, hope you are the same or better. :)

Actual LasVegas Red Rock climbing content at 0.30 sec. in
It is funny there is more walking past cars than climbing.
This is a Introduction/marketing -semi documentary,
but I think all the, - hurky-jerky footage- Reduces objectivity & gets in the way of listening.
Some tunes more than others, certainly SKA , Up-Beat boogey too.

Now I know why my hand was stayed.
Had I done what I was doing what would have played?
A video showing some dudes and dudettes running around on the Carrizo Plain,
Clearly having fun, mind you, but in a far less bouncy and Tigger-like frame of mind fullness.

And as the day closes shop, but not for a couple of hours yet, here is what some of my day looked like as I went about it.

Mind you, anything is fair game for my hungry-hungry lens.
Today. And this was all in the first ten minutes of leaving the crib/cage/tomb/studio.

Two naps, two episodes of The Iron Fist (in which significant damage is done with malice aforethought with, of all things, AN ICE CREAM SCOOP, to an innocent lover of vanilla).

Late afternoon and far, far away from bloody rocks and death by soda fountain implements.
And now for the culmination of The Return of the King.

Lynne, please contact me.

A predictable ending. Cubbies win on a miracle catch by Frodo and the Dark Side goes home in a snit.

Home movies till near dawn, then I'll go shoot the moon.

Right now, I've got some stars you've never seen till now.

Here's how passenger overcrowding should be dealt with.

Everybody oughta cruise low and ride slow.

What's all the rush?

I know, it's the Rat Race.

But I was never really in it.

Maybe someone can say why it is the way it is, but I can't say myself.
Photo provided by Can't Say.

I always f*#k that up: it's cruise low and ride slow. Or the other way seems to work, too, so just do yer own thing, but slow and low wherever you go. Unless yer late for work.

The Neville Bros, with the Dixe Cups, from 1981(?)
Ringo's all star band,
Or by venue
Tippatinas' in Nhew O' leanz . . . Ther are a few. . .

The Fox Thearter in Atlanta Ga, (both '77& '78)
The early one a must listen
The latter is an epic 21 songs 3 &1/2 hrs show

the coveted set of tapes for yrs.

While the whole show is worth a beer
and a rod by a fishing hole,

Slow pitch from back in the day.
Growling BobWeir , 'strung along the fence' base from Phill. .,.

https://www.monocounty.org/things-to-do/fishing/fishing-rules-regulations/

In Season Fishing:
Limit: 5 per person
Bona fide trout fishing season is the last Saturday in April through November 15 every year. In 2017, Opening Day, aka “Fishmas,” is Saturday, April 29. This is when most waters in Mono County are open to anglers to fish for as many as 5 trout to catch-and-keep per day

I know, I was not prepared for an April Fools opening day.

The kids are off so we went to a spot I know, they both caught fish, easy peasy,

I get all the gory & only shutterbug glory ' more fun as a Grand-pa than as a Dad.
It was fun to throw the eye balls around
After one "Lesson Fish" each
It was back to catch and release.

I see the D. E. E. P. gals' guys, ply the streams that marsh and swamp at the toe of my favorite hillside.
The brownies go in 1st,
then a last stock, the week before opening day of some Rainbows. . . .?
Or so they told me is how the stocking goes, starting in the middle of March or so.
I've not got a lot of faith,
so it goes

Talk is Cheap

Hitler never gassed a soul?
Yet millions died and know one knows
About history in our White House
Where xenophobic despots grouse
While wind whipped talk of war is sewn

Never let the bastards lie
While mamas cry and children die
Teach history to our White House
It's history we must espouse
Yeah, we don't wonder why
