For heaven has taken his buddy away![Click to View YouTube Video]was a student at a school across the street, where after school sports, and the coaches kept the gym open for us.
There was a. creek that had OX-bows in a 11 acre park , a strip of Wild bird sanctuary called an arboretum we all migrated to a campfire out side. One of my earliest moments that hold no memories of the events but given with whom I shared these trips , I was doomed to enjoy myself certainly for close to the rest of that century.

For Z and all you four legged friend lovers out there...
Who Nose, My Friend?
Never met a dog I know
Didn't treat me like a bro
Or sniff my leg and wag his tail
Once he got to know my smell
Never was a lass or bro
Who wouldn't love a puppy so
That I could call a decent friend
Who didn't love them to the end
Cats are special in their way
If you let them have their say
But dogs have sweetness in their eyes
With no remorse or petty lies
I've saved my friends upon the shelf
To part with me, a simple elf
To drift with all their ashes hence
Across the fields o'er garden fence
Or in the river we shall drift
Their world to me the greatest gift
A love so unattached and free
Beyond all that I could foresee
A simple dog with a simple love
As basic as the stars above
With eyes and ears that melt the heart
Until this sphere we shall depart
Never met a dog I know
Didn't treat me like a bro
Who's nose sees more than I can see
From bees to bonds of loyalty

Have I misread the situation in Cleveland?
Apparently Gnome has things he's seen that lead him to think there is none.
OK by me, I don't gottsta live there.

"This is not a test."
It's a pair of gnomes, you say?
You're correct.
Anything you see is the correct image.
This explains some things.

Ink Spots - If I Didn't Care
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvwfLe6sLis
On January 12, 1939, the Ink Spots entered Decca studios to record a ballad written by a young songwriter named Jack Lawrence. This ballad, "If I Didn't Care", was to be one of their biggest hits, selling over 19 million copies and becoming the 10th-best-selling single of all time.
It was also the first recording by the group to reach the US Pop Charts. Despite its popularity, "If I Didn't Care" never reached #1 on the US Pop Charts, staying at #2 for several weeks.
This is the first studio recorded example of the Ink Spots "Top & Bottom" format with Bill Kenny singing lead and Hoppy Jones performing the "talking bass". For this recording, each member was paid $37.50; however, after the record sold 200,000 Decca destroyed the original contract and the group was paid an additional $3,750.

As this cats hiker comes due,

And climbing was dangerous too

The Predicted Storm
or
My Doubts About the Drought Are Settled
Pewter colored morning with trees in motion
And the noise of it all
Reaches this window
Like a wave of sound from a factory floor
The plant manager knows the sound
As many different sounds
I know the sound of the trees
And the wind in them
There is also the sound of one leaf
Beating against its neighbor
Chastising it for just hanging around
It’s funny how leaves are as catty as men
And the gossip that goes on
When the wind picks up
And they all think no one else is listening
They could not be more mistaken
The ones who have the hardest time hearing
Are the drivers of the cars
Causing so much traffic noise
Remaining indifferent behind rolled windows
The DJ on their radios
The Hendrixes in their MPs
The oldies and the talkies
All Sirius and mostly furious
Garbage trucks roll out on mystery tours
Two trains run through the town
Soggy banks groan from too much water
Ambulances and fire trucks scream in manic panic
The dominant note is the wall heater
BTUs expending and making someone rich
While I get poorer and barely warm enough
But I really miss the commas and the periods
Of course they are silent anyway
But they realize they are not needed
And they sit patiently in the ether
Not adding a thing to the din
Tomorrow is predicted to be fair and warmer
If it does not rain again and the wind stays calm
And the worms do not make too much noise casting mud
I may risk an asterisk or maybe a quick dash between words
by MGM or MFM I cannot decide today (but I am not a Metro otay?)
Where did I put my murse?

Stirling Silliphant. There is a name from the past with which to conjure: creator of The Naked City and Route 66, he also did the screenplays for The Poseidon Adventure and Towering Inferno. (You know you love to hate them both...supreme kitsch of the cheesiest kind and real fake terror.)
In the earlier part of his career, he was publicity director for Walt Disney, and was lead writer on the stories incorporated into The Mickey Mouse Club.
One of his later series creations was Longstreet, which featured a blind detective played by James Franciscus, who had also starred in the first season of Naked City.
Silliphant was a close friend and MA student of Bruce Lee, the nun-chuck cheese, so I wouldn't advise one to make fun of his name. Oh, wait, he's dead.
Another one of SS's efforts.[Click to View YouTube Video]

Category is "Brit Lit."
Meanwhile, John's room where we were watching Jeopardy! has quite a view. If you want a better one, step out the door to the fire escape.
During the interminable commercial break prior to Final Jeopardy!
A bit earlier, just before seven, looking at the sun going down and to the north.

Silly phantastic!
Don't trip lightly.
I'd ask Al Capone, who had a house just down south from TJ in Rosarito, but he be dead too.
I'm beginning to sense a pattern here.
