I heard from Bevin last night. She's okay, but there's a load for you to shovel in Brooklyn if you care to.
5-hour Energy, anyone?
I'd think about hibernating.

Too bad for Christopher, going over to the Dark Side. I didn't know he was a Ravens fan, too.
My Grandad was named Leonard for King Leonard I & ONLY, who used to sign documents, announcements, caveats, and promulgations that same way. I had no heart to tell him there were no Ys in Latin script. He came back with Yada-yada, they all say that, but he was firmly in the Ys camp, which made him a Ys man.
And then there were Lynnrd Skynnehead, NYW Rave, and Yo Tony, NOW.
KYOS radio. All Latyn, all the thyme, all the to-dos.

I've had my Phil on Glueberry Hill and now I'm stuck I'm stuck I'm stuck...
That's better...Lenore jabbed the cop in the neck and all he's got is "Yaargh?" Weenie! It's painful, though...

Thank God for Yuba Waz!
We all need a name, first, and a mantra second.
You can change a name, and your mantra is mutable, if you choose.
And your icon. And your toothpaste brand.
And the beat. But you'd better let the others know somehow.

I received this "obvious objet" in the post last night (flat, appr. 12 X 24 in heavily-taped cardboard, from a well-known artist on ST) and the manager gave it to me just a few minutes ago.
A package? For me? What's it got in it?
Quelque-choses pour moi?
Merci bien, neebee.
Lettuce open it!

I know this sounds whacked out but I wondered how Yuba was going to affect the outcome of this package-opening.
It is a beautiful painting of Boomer with his string of fish.
I'm so stunned you could put me on a stringer. I'd have the same expression as the fish.
The silhouetted oaks in the sunset are just like what you see driving home from Lenna's, Sonora to Merced at sunset; or, if you are Tim, our brother, driving home to Jamestown from Merced Falls after meeting with fishermen needing his guide services and boat. Or, if you are returning, as Boomer did countless tims, from a round of golf at Twain-Harte or Phoenix Lake, the sunset's just that way, Blue Moon in the Sky or not.
When Boomer was a budding managerial trainee and filling various low-level tasks for Pacific Tell & Tell, one job he had was to travel to Yuba City and Marysville to help assess PT&T needs there during the Christmas flood of 1955. He was gone from Sacramento for several days, leaving Mom and the Mothers of Maryal Drive to cope with their own minor flooding from backed-up gutter drains. (The clogged gutters led to the creation of Maryal Pond, the waters of which soon drained to the American River.)
I've learned to respect the Yubans, who kept having to dodge the flooding Sacramento River every few years because they live along the Yuba River, which can heavily influence the Sacramento when it rises. Some of the Sacramento flooding is now supposedly "controlled" by the use of by-passes and less reliance on dike-extension.
Anyway, neebee, the Boomer 'likeness' is just fine--it's a good smile--and it was a shock to see it the first time, which says something, but not of any consequence, so forget it, it's not critique time, anyway--but I'll adjusst. My blood pressure. Must...sit...
Be happy. Like a musical, moveable fish-on-a-plaque on the wall singing Bobby McPherrin.
Well, say there, thanks for the "surprise thank you."
5.8, let's go to the frame shop.

hey there, say, mouse..
i was so sad, the way you shared about boomer's passing..
i love my dad, so i sure understand...
but all the things that you shared about him, made it all
the more real,as to your loss...
could not buy canvas then... so did nothing...
well, after all the neat things that you do for others,
and the wonerful surrise fruit...
a very nice thank you was in order, trouble was:
i did not have canvas, but my NOW i had a board!
thus, the board, :)
however, sadly, i did not have a good copy of boomers
pictur... was too fuzzy, so i felt bad... seem it
passed inspection, though..:) and touched the heart...
by the way:
the moon is a golfball.... :)
and you must have spotted the 'shoot the moon' garden, by now, :)

That's cheaper,no question.
A little cheeper told me son
It's still a bargain if I do
Buy another frame or two
For the inflated price of one.
Q.E.D. Why settle for just one?
You can't take that sort of economy to the woods, Dad. I thought we'd discussed that.

Function and style are fitted perfectly together: This antique chimney is a Flames container of sorts. The house is located on a corner of Merced's Courthouse Park and houses a very large family.
All lawyered up, too.
Morse, Morse, and Morse only gets worse and worse, it would seem--one of them is Merced County's District Attorney, who is fair and open-minded, not a man to be judged by his cover, were he a book.
This looks like its an easy chimney.
And it is, at first. It sucks you in until you arrive at the cornices.
Function and style and wisdom and experience all created an antidote to an old shopping complaint, which is helpful in some climbing sits.
It helps, when you back off this climb, to place the paper sack over your head. It's on a public thoroughfare, after all.
Me, I go over there at night and just hang. The older I get, the less bold I become until it seems almost all experience is like drinking de-caf coffee. Why bother? It's why you see so much of me here, practicing my typing.
Function and Style is/are open twenty-four and seven and are wishing you a very fine day.
The Hands of Time Shoplifted My Memory
Critical thinking coupled with
Casual observation show that
Comparison shopping days are over, suckers!
Just toss it in the bag and go, go, go!
There's no time to worry over pennies
Just to try ro save some dough.
Those were roses, by the way,
Which you just rushed past, f*#kers,
But didn't sniff,
just sniffed at.
And those were the days, so fine:
All gone too fast
Compared to now,
When all you have is a little bit of memory
And lots and tons and gobs
And hours and days and even weeks (sigh) of empty time.
Make great memories for yourselves.
No one else can or will.
Tell us all of Jack and Jill
How they came falling down the hill
And try to set those tales to rhyme.

love them ol' old chimneys... good memoies, too, from old houses here in, of recent, that had them...
*the few we saw, were in calif.. and then the older rougher looking ones, were from a few old farm houses, in south texas...
