Looking north to the snow from the ranchette today.
39 degrees F. for a high.
Kinda muddy out from the dissolved snow and subsequent rain.
The older I get: the more I hate winter!
Sluuuurp!

Damn Fritz, that's some nice looking bottom-lands there, Are you south of the Snake?
I'm switch- hitting tonight with Harp Lagers and Peroni Nastro Azzzurrro. I'm chomping on a sandwich made with some grilled Isernio's chicken and sun-dried tomato sausages on a panini roll with pesto, smoked provolone and sauteed hedgehog mushrooms. My dogs are dogging me for a bite of this sandwich. Not gonna happen, fellers this shite is too good for mere mortal pooches. besides, I'm not gonna be letting you out at 2AM to paint the lawn.

Pine Ridge - Chenin Blanc + Viognier liberally doused with Aperol over ice. And I am now in the right place.
El Paso climbers do NOT know which way is up.
Lots of outdoors coming this weekend but having trouble working rock and ice into the picture. Perhaps a quick session at the Painted Cave Boulders in Santa Barbara.

YOOOOWZZZ!
Just a glass of wine at the end of the day, and a few glasses with friends at dinner, & now a glass in front of me.
(yeh, yeh---better than a "full frontal lobotomy!!"
I had a look at Friday night post social-outing ST offerings, and other life-choices, including TV-------and thought:
BORING!
Drunks may be boring, but we don't care.
I'm in the warm-zone for a week!

The Beast!! At $11.99 for a 2-4 down in Kentucky, and brought home lovingly amongst muddy caving gear, it's less than half the price of our cheapest here.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp.

Hmmm, a couple-three beers, working on a margarita now. Planning next week's caving trip to Kentucky - we will set a New World's Record for sure.

A tall Manhattan Cocktail made with Buffalo Trace, Cinzano both sweet and dry with a dash of Aperol. Tagging an order of t-shirts for my good friends at DNC Yosemite while I watch some old vids. House is empty.
I'd rather be at the Buchannan English Pub down in Burbank where this hot band is playing: http://youtu.be/mDEnkho-Hxk
Taking some kids on a hike tomorrow. Perhaps they'll grow up to climb 5.12.

Yooowzzz!
Back with my people, with a little Chateau St. Michelle Cab in my belly.
Weather goes to schist in Idaho this weekend. No warm fair-weather, old-fart climbing for me.
Luckily!
Two of my high-school climbing buddies are here on Sat night for a Decker Flat Climbing & Frisbee Club reunion.
We will try to have non-climbing fun with stories, photos, drinking, and a hot springs outing on Sunday.
