Crack says":
Show me the correlation between tax cuts for the rich and tax revenue in this graph. Maybe I need to go back to statistics, but I just don't see it.
Lets look at the graph. What happened in about 1982? MASSIVE TAX CUTS FOR THE ULTRA RICH. What happened to 50 year tax average? It bumped up! Got that? Taxation went UP while rates for the rich went DOWN.
WHERE DID THE MONEY COME FROM?
It came from the middle class, by shifting tax burden from the rich.
Just as they have manipulated things to shift the wealth of America from the middle class to the rich, so has the tax burden and the income been shifted.

Wow, go away for a week, and the troll named LEB, who is all scared and whiney because it gets confronted with direct commentary, THEN starts to make snarky profane comments towards those with whom IT disagrees.
How the worm turns!

so they should lower taxes until revenue starts to drop below this, and then LIVE WITHIN A BUDGET.
You don't really believe that "live within a budget" statement do you?
If you did then we would have heard much more out of you from jan/2001 to jan/2009 regarding the Bush administration not "living within a budget," especially with regard to paying for two wars on a credit card.
Honest question, why is not living within a budget okay when Republicans are in charge, but not okay when the Democrats are in charge?

Why was it okay with you to bail out the banks with no strings attached?
A bail out with my hard earned dollars.
Why are you okay with socializing the losses of the unreasonable risks that banks took? I thought you hated the idea of socialism.
The irony is that the people currently out of work that you label the "unproductive" are the very same people who you and your ilk were boasting about as "the finest workers on the planet in the great country on the planet with the greatest people and democracy on the planet" back when the economy was supposedly humming along in 2006 and unemployment was relatively low.
Back then you and your ilk referred to them as the "great American worker" as they were helping to put tons of money in the pockets of the robber-barons you so praise today.
Where's your loyalty to the "great American worker"? Where's your patriotism?
Oh yeah, and how the hell do you know whether or not Norton is unproductive?

Make it $10,000 Jeff, that Obama beats Romney and goes another four.
How about it, seriously?
If things look SO very bad for Obama's reelection, then NOW is the time to take this bet.
Hitch up your panties and man up, Jeff. Show you got some balls.
I'll put up 10K now, and you do too, we will have it held until Nov 8, 2012.
Now, find some clever way to back out of my challenge.
Waiting for pussy talk................

Yes. When the Raygun tax "cuts" were implemented, my income tax increased $1000.

Fatty said; " would feel guilty taking your money, it would be too easy, just like when I shorted the home builders and sub-prime lenders."
EXACTLY what I predicted you would say, Jeff.
Cop out.
Weak.
Coward.
Here you have a great opportunity to take my money.
Oh My!! Things just look SO BAD for Obama's reelection.
And yet, you run away from putting your money where your mouth is.
Why don't you post your certificate of appreciation now?

John Dean was Nixon's White House Council. He's the only one who had the moral courage to blow the whistle on the details of the Watergate scandal. The most important detail was that Nixon had ordered the breakin. He also implicated Attorney General John Mitchell, Erlichman, Haldemann and himself.
Dean was convicted of a felony and therefore was disbarred. Forever. He was an investment banker until 2000. This guy knows how both the political and financial apparatus function.
Dean is currently an author, columnist, and commentator on contemporary politics, strongly critical of conservatism and the Republican Party, and a registered Independent who supported the impeachment of President George W. Bush.
Mitchell, Erlichman, Haldeman and Colson all went to prison. Dean served his time in "custody" and his sentence was commuted to time served when the trial was over.
Nixon was forced to resign by public opinion. VP Gerald Ford became President and immediately pardoned Nixon.
