A very profound addition to the Climate thread Bruce as we approach 20,000 posts. Thanks for that!
The aide said that guys like me were "in what we call the reality-based community," which he defined as people who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality." ... "That's not the way the world really works anymore," he continued. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors…and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."[2]

What a stupid bet.
As expected. You don't want to backup what you write.
I remember several times catching you flat out lying and you resorting to textbook sleazeball excuses. The kind of crapola nonsense my girls outgrew by age six.
There's to use in trying to have an honest exchange with a lying sleazeball, like Ray Ray the Fool.
It is obvious that we live in completely different worlds.
We can just start with the following one
http://www.supertopo.com/climbing/thread.php?topic_id=970221&tn=18740
You where clearly incorrect (in your words you lied*), you did continue to argue you case in many posts and the best you come up with where 1 author that it could be argued that could be included in your statement. 1 person is of course not several.
So we had the lie
the arguing instead of admitting the mistake
and you of course didn't and are never going to admit your mistake.
But really, forget it. I hoped that you could agree on the bet because I find it extremely meaningless to try to discuss anything with you. You never listen to anyone else and you can be obviously wrong about something but you have never said that you made a mistake. You just start to sling insults instead.
I just found it ironic that you seem to really dislike the exact same behavior when you think that someone else has done it when you do it all the time yourself.
*as norton pointed out. Most people don't consider those examples as lies.

Is Dick Freud (aka Bruce Kay) prone to profundity? I think Sketch, with his very recent appraisal, is right on.
Sorry Dick, profound not, sometimes humorous yes.

Rick Poedtke packs four falsehoods into one sentence:
Why do post propaganda that is outta date and forecasted a month ago and expires today? When I point out the maps are not propaganda, not out of date, not forecasts -- that goes over Rick’s head. He doubles down by shouting:
you definitely are blind.
Take a good look at what dates your posted data are "VALID" for. The one below expires tonight at midnight and was published the first week of NOVEMBER. But no, the NOAA map I posted was published Dec 6, not the first week of NOVEMBER; it was not a forecast and did not "expire." Nor did the dates in its caption say “VALID,” Rick P made that up too. What the words clearly said, in caps, was 30-DAY MEAN FOR: Thu NOV 07 2013 - Fri DEC 06 2013. The map depicted average temperatures from the past 30 days, calculated on December 6. This was not a 30-day forecast published November 7 that I nefariously posted on December 6.
Rick Sumner chortles:
Sorry to see your sorry ass got busted on a month old forecast.
But no, he’s not sorry, just showing that he can’t read the map either. Worse -- unable to comprehend it by himself he just follows Rick P’s lead, because he hears what he wants to believe.
Still more ... there’s a twist. As I said in my first post, those map links are live, so they should update each day with NOAA. Today the graph appearing in my Dec 6 post says 30-DAY MEAN FOR: Fri NOV 08 2013 - Sat DEC 07 2013, and tomorrow it will advance one day more. So long as NOAA keeps updating, which for operational maps they should do every day, these maps (there currently is one in Poedtke’s own post too) will march on through 2014 and beyond, while the two Ricks’ false claims of “outdated” remain frozen in time.
Check it out, watch it change, and see if the legend on this map baffles anyone else.

O sh#t, I am surprised that you finally would admit that you where wrong.
edit: So the idiot edited his post... he first admitted that he made a mistake but he changed to whole post. People like Sketch are never wrong. They are just stupid idiots all the time.
Sorry, I am not going to take that bet. Your last edit just show that you are a dishonest liar.

I should also admit that I made a mistake in one of my posts above. I wasn't clear enough. Sketch I believe that you might have admitted some trivial mistake here on the forum but I believe that you have not admitted a non trivial mistake that you have actually tried to defend in at least one of your posts.

What's a matter you little coward? Are you afraid I'll prove you wrong? You talk a big game. Throwing out the accusations. But when it comes time to back them up, you run like a little pussy.
You realize that I have already shown one example of the behavior that I claimed that you often do? That you after tens of posts and a long time finally admit your mistake when forced into a corner is surprising but it definitely do not show that my example were wrong.

BTW Larry, I see you agree that KILLING BALD AND GOLDEN EAGLES is perfectly acceptable in the name of saving mankind from the Big Oil machine.
So, is this where I pull out pictures of the Gulf of Mexico after the Deep Horizon catastrophe, and show the death that oil brings? Indeed, I could easily say:
The Chief thinks that it's perfectly acceptable for Big Oil to create a massive dead zone in the Gulf of Mexico.
link: Dead Zone in Gulf Linked to Oil
link: Solar Would Be Cheaper: US Pentagon Has Spent $8 Trillion to Guard Gulf Oil
It's posts like these that let me honestly say that The Chief is a self-absorbed fool.
Sure, he'll get all hot-headed and be like the little boy flipping me the finger. But that won't change the fact that The Chief is the poster-boy for a large group of morons.
