(Sorry to come in so late Fritz. Hangin with family.)
1- tall Bitzburg, 2-fat shots of Jack D single barrel with a dash of red grenadine in honor of "ramblin rose," and a couple of shots of Belvedere vodka in some orange juice and stuff.
Dude you are awesome. I didn't mean to really slander you in the Flamer thread. Just roughhousing. - And thanks for the Crumb. That's home base for me.
I'm going out to Texas Canyon tomorrow and climb some seriously funky chimney offwidth, and other fun things, then TR until my arms melt.

I just realized it is two or three hours past beer-thirty in Ontario and
Pete is MIA! Is he on the wagon or down in some stoopid cave?
ps
It is Maredsous Triple ce soir. If that doesn't suffice I have my Leffe
in reserve with some Grimbergen in strategic reserve in case of a counterattack.

Silver, they're all Belgians. Grimbergen is Mon-Thursday two-to-a-customer
working class hero beer. Leffe is about the same but a touch more bourgeois.
Maredsous is Friday-night's-for-fighting-brew. Their blonde is a n00b's delight
at 6%. Their ale is 8% and the Tripel is for fighting Germans at 10%.

Back with "my people."
I drove home to Choss Creek from SLC: today during a break in the current weather.
Roads were only wet & not snowy.
The most snow on the whole trip is here is Choss Creek.
Heidi & I toasted our good fates with -----a wee bit of Kenwood Cab over dinner.
I'm Fuked next week.
Off to North Idaho by goat-path Hwy 95, and the storms just keep coming.
Gud for everyone, but the fuked folks having to do:
Biz-ness Travel.
Guess I'll drink some more: to ease my travel-pains.

Thought you had fallen off the Super-topo!
With your inspiration:
I made it up The Lost Arrow at COR last summer!
The only bad news is:
I have stolen Belinda & her background from you.
Sorry Dude!
I needed her!
What are you up to?

I'm headed to Pasadena, if I don't get arrested for "drunk and disorderly" tonight I'll be at Texas Canyon tomorrow morning stealing bolt hangers and throwing up all over the belay stances.

Time to celebrate! Survived my North Idaho road-trip. Highway 95, through Idaho's heart, is usually a winter white-knuckle epic. It wasn't a laugher: but I've seen much worse in January.
Spider! I know it is nearly-unbelievable, but Moscow Idaho finally has some good places to eat.
I'm still smacking my lips over spicy Lamb shank-Peru style with rice & black beans, complemented by Terrazas Cabernet from Argentina. The eatery owners are actually from Peru.
I'll drink to that!
Slurpity-slurp!

Wow, you western boys are getting an early start tonight. Great to see my regular friends posting this evening - hiya Fritz, Norwegian, The Larry and Spider!
I'm starting out with some cheapy Chardonnay - Lindeman's Bin65. Amazingly, this seems to be the best Chard you can find in Canada in the ten-buck range, which means about half that price in Kentucky or California. It is effective on an empty stomach.
Aaron - I have not heard a word from our friend and erstwhile climbing partner Jon Fox. When are we finally getting together on the bridge?
Thor - have I mentioned how much I love that cartoon?! When ARE we roping up for the Captain? I want you for a counterweight on my pigs!!!

Silver: Thank you for reminding us about the rules.
Dinner is over and the bottle of vino tinto is empty.
OOOps another bottle is open.
Fuking rules-----always the fuking rules!
It is winter in Choss Creek. Time to fatten up and post on ST.
I did see some kayakers on Choss Creek today. It is running high, thanks to 10 days of precip. and rain melting snow up to 7,000 Ft. or so.
Damn young punks!
I am so envious!

OK, OK -- Thor is a lard-ass! [Although not as lard-assly as of late, he went on a crash diet sort of]
Nice photos of the kayakers, Fritz? Why don't you get yourself in the crick, too?
Two big glasses of chard down, eyeballing the tequila. Gotta love Fridays, eh?

PTPP: Re Nice photos of the kayakers, Fritz? Why don't you get yourself in the crick, too?
Pete! I still like rafting water like that, but I "transcended" white-water kayaking some years ago.
My raft does not fit in Choss Creek-------and/or I ain't going to try fitting it.
Damn young punks!
Sigh.
The kayaker is running between old concrete bridge supports & a huge rock, which create the "stopper hole" he is eating. The supports are about 14' apart & have rough edges, right after a narrow passage under a newer bridge (my photo position).
I have looked & looked, and have never found the cojones to run it with a raft.
I'll drink to that!

Lightening paddles, those folks be cool,
hands get just as cold with poggies, water washes in, water washes out,
plus the additional circulation problems and the slippery grip durring a roll make bare hands the way to go, maybe a little sex wax on there,
