unlike you who thinks $2.00 is too much for you to spend for health care. You don't even want to pay a token amount. For you, it should be "free" right. The tooth fairy should pay for it.
I never said that. That is how you interpreted it, but once again you got it wrong. And you are a fool if you think it would be that low. I proved that point by showing you our GDP, but you either didn't understand it, or you ignored it. Like usual.

LEB - think its best to ignore J.M. as he's a true believer and cannot be
reasoned with. He's been poisoned. Lost to humanity. He's a Liberal
leech and cannot be saved. He's coded but doesn't know it. He's cold meat.
Otherwise like your posts. :) !

I wonder if he has health insurance Lois. A lot of guys working under the table are either illegal or uninsured. (but not all certainly)
It seems like good money to make $100 for an unskilled guy for 4 hours work (what he agreed to) but it's tough to line up consistent work. I'd be surprised if he had health insurance and shocked if he would be covered for disability due to work injuries (like throwing out his back lifting your stuff, would you be insured for that?)
He could be one injury or illness away from total insolvency. Maybe not a "Victim" if he gets a bill for $75,000 from a hospital but still screwed.
No, anyone who has legal income and went to the doctor afterwards would be screwed. Ever wonder why a 10 minute procedure costs $1500? It is because you are paying for people who get the same procedure but don't pay for it because they don't have any reason to.

Really, why bother?
A really good internet troll has one goal, to attract attention to themselves by playing the victim when challenged, by being personally insulting in a clever kind of vague manner, and constantly provoking anger and emotions so as to keep the other posters responding to the troll with every reply.
This good internet troll knows very little of the specifics behind what is being discussed, offers nothing of concrete value, changes the subject frequently in order to avoid being proven specifically wrong, never ever admits to being wrong, and is an expert at appearing to personally wounded and hurt when their own actions cause others to reply in the same insulting manner as the troll.
Do not ever reply to the troll and do not ever use the troll's name.

John M - we all feel sorry that you are a such a moron. How have you survived to read and write? Curious.
Lois, doesn't this mean that I won the argument? Or some points?
woo whoo.. I won the argument.
Edit: you don't need to answer Lois. I just think it is funny when you resort to that argument. woo whooo.. he insulted me, therefore I won the argument.

"Ever wonder why a 10 minute procedure costs $1500? It is because you are paying for people who get the same procedure but don't pay for it because they don't have any reason to."
Where did you get that little tidbit of wisdom? From your rectum?
No, but if I did, and it required a removal, I would be on the hook for $5000 because I actually have a job.
REALLY??? Do you honestly think they DON'T pass the costs on to people who have the ability to pay? If you owned a clinic, would the money come out of YOUR pocket when someone didn't pay? Or would you charge more to those who can pay? This is not rocket science.

80% of the People want the rich to taxed higher, hence, they are not following the desire of their constituents, instead, they have taken a vow to Grover, no matter what their District needs
I am sure the poorest 99% of the People would love to take ALL the money from the richest 1%, but that is why we have the constitution - it protects the minority from the tyranny of the majority, and grants us all equal rights in the eyes of the Law.
Steve Jobs was in the richest 1%, but he created Millions of jobs all over the World and brought countless people out of poverty, aside from creating products that changed our World for the better. Instead of whining about not getting your a$$ wiped by Social Services, go out and create something.

Don't you have a moral if not legal obligation to ensure that he's legally in the US? Especially in Arizona?
Nah, I will let you worry about that, instead. Try not to let it keep you up at night.
Another fine bit of Republican hypocrisy and selfishness. I won't be staying up worrying about it - it's your country with the dysfunctional body politic. Starting with a fundamentally dishonest political discourse, on the part of all parties, but particularly the Republicans and their tea party storm troopers.

We had it until Reagan
We all lost wages, entitlements, and all hope for a better future
Ah yes... what a Panacea under Carter... 22% interest rates, 17% inflation, 17% unemployment. Too bad Reagan had to step in and put a wet blanket on that party!
There are huge Areas of America that Have NO JOBS
The jobs are gone, they are in China now!!
What should they do, just starve
Is that your answer???
Greedy unions, shot themselves in the ass.
How much did you lose in 2008??
from the Republican Depression
I shorted Commercial real estate. Made quite a bit. Of course, I saw it coming because it was only postponed in 2001. The Clinton years seemed prosperous but it was mostly phony, stock gains based on low interest rates and printed money. When it collapsed, the Government doubled down with even lower rates, creating a new bubble in Real Estate. After that collapsed in 2008 they quadrupled down, with Trillions in stimulus and (effective) negative interest rates. Now the bubble is in Treasuries. But each time it pops, it requires more effort to reinflate, and eventually it is damaged beyond repair. When the Treasury market collapses, the Government will be left with only one option - to inflate its way out of debt. It won't work - it never does. Be ready.

LEB - Ha ha! Very funny. I never lose my temper over Liberals. They are
never worth the effort. Why get mad at a retarded dog chasing a parked car? So what? Jghedge, Dr F, or John M are just leeches trying to keep their
proboscis's inserted into the money vein but know their time is at an end.
Civilization will not miss the death of leeches such as them.

Dude, Here's the low-down. If they charge somebody with, say, Blue Cross Insurance $750 for a 10 minute procedure, the same uninsured dude, say Lois's laborer, will get charged $1500 for the very same procedure. This is before insurance pays or doesn't pay for anything. Somebody with insurance, even if they have a $5000 deductible will get charged far, far less, even though their ability to pay is greater.
Who has no reason to pay? Only someone whose credit is already ruined, somebody with no assets at the very bottom of society. That's not such a huge percentage of people receiving medical care, which is the greatest cause of personal bankruptcies in our country (If I remember correctly)
Doctors and Nurse Practitioners make more money than most people, Hospital Administrators too, and malpractice insurance cost bucks too. (although it's skyrocketing due to decreasing investment returns for insurance companies, not because of dramatically increased jury awards)
http://makethemaccountable.com/myth/RisingCostOfMedicalMalpracticeInsurance.htm
with so many people making 6 figures aboard, of course it all cost money.
Health care is broken, it needs reform. You're never going to get tons more money from people who don't have thousands to spare because they make minimum wage and don't even make that when they get sick. We need a similar system to the rest of the western civilized world, even Lois admits that.
Cost controls are needed and greed minimized. I was prescribed a ultra-sound bone stimulater that retails for $1500 or so but sells to insured for $600 (or their insurance company) but could easily be produced for $35 but is over-built and intentionally designed to not be reused (Illegal in fact) resold (illegal in fact, due to company lobbying) and not even passed on to poor people (cause they use a non-replaceable proprietary battery that only the one and only patient can get replaced) It's set up to make bank for people who didn't invent the technology, merely figured out the best frequency for bone repair and patented and studied the thing. That's capitalism for you, not about serving or healing people, about maximizing profit. It's the one thing in this medical journey I've been on that's clearly wasted money even if the device is needed. It's like dispensing non-resalable, non-reusable silver crutches

Thanks for your Patriotism
Overpaying for something is not Patriotism. I don't recall the Founding Fathers asking us to prop up an unsustainable property bubble for our country.
Postponed from 2001?
Lets see your facts
Tech bubble collapse... no real recession because interest rates are lowered to near zero. Monetary policy to the rescue! But few structural changes are made, and institutions realize they can borrow at an artificial 0% rate and buy Fannie/Freddie bonds that pay 7%. Free money machine!! This inflates the housing market bubble (real geniuses at the Fed, eh?).
Tell me about your PHd in Physics
What do you want to know about it? U.C. Berkeley, 2000.

Here's a list of 50 great paying jobs with good prospects. If government is paying so much and wasting so much money, how come few if any government jobs on the list
http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bestjobs/2009/full_list/index.html
Lots of money movers and health care professions on the list. The money movers want to pay the health care professional less you can bet.

Nearly 20% (or about $1 Trillion dollars) per year is spent by the Federal Government on Medicare and Medicaid, this pushes prices up higher than they normally would be. So to some extent, many health care jobs are Government jobs.

This I have to ask
You want to keep the rich rich
But what about the rest of the 99%
Most of them make Minimum wage, and may never get a raise to make it above $12/hr
at $12/hr thats Only $24,000 per year, NOT enough to raise a Family
Thats the Reagan Legacy, America the POOR
Factcheck: Of the 76.5 million people paid by the hour in the United States in 2006, 2.2% make minimum wage or less (http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/2007/10/09/who-earns-the-minimum-wage/);
These are stepping stone jobs. You should be more worried about the people who are unemployed because they are not productive enough to earn minimum wage. They will likely never get jobs, thanks to government regulation which puts a floor on the productivity required to get a job.

TGT: Nothing happens without the fourth element!
Something that seems to be lost on the libertards.
No, not at all. That's totally covered in Debs' famous quote:
“We propose to destroy the capitalist and save the man. We want a system in which the worker shall get what he produces and the capitalist shall produce what he gets.”
What's wrong with that?
