"...what matters is what he said that he would do, and it was not to dis Trump on national TV..."
Where did Cruz say that he wouldn't diss Trump? Or that he planned on endorsing him?
And more importantly, why the hell would Manafort & co allow him that kind of time, in the slot right before Pence?
Why not a Rubio-style video that they could tightly control?
Poor planning, poor campaign management. Can you imagine what he'd be like actually dealing with difficult issues?

Apogee, that is the type of agreement that occurs in the backroom. However, I saw a number of Trump surrogates who talked in interviews about how Cruz "went back on his word".

Anything distasteful to say about Hitlery, Locker?
Or do you only reserve honest analysis for Repubs, ignore the Dem 'body odors'?
Maybe you're just a pussy though and you fear the obvious retribution if you commented on Hillary's appearance? Or any other Dem or minority?

Oh brother, blue. You think any of us Hillary supporters are 100% cool with her?
If you've paid any attention (obviously you haven't), you'd notice pretty much all Hillary voters saying that they aren't crazy about her, but compared to actual crazy, she's obviously the better choice, and the one who will serve more of our interests than the Golden Manatee.

I am.
I am not 100% crazy about her but I'd say I am 100% cool with her.
All that hillary hate has a long long long history that is baseless that folks (like to) forget. That, together
with simple partisan gameplay, is why it exists.

bluering posted Honestly, that nails it pretty well. And not just with me.
The problem comes in how you define 'oppression'.
How do you defined "oppression?"
why do you folks engage bluering in a dialogue?
Because he's honestly interested in it and is willing to express his views earnestly most of the time. And he's not nearly so obnoxious now that he's sober. (Congrats on that, blue)

Conservatives are all cherry pickers of their parties platform.
The LBGTQ stuff doesn't affect bluring, so he doesn't care what the GOP does.
Some others don't like the Christian stuff
some like the low taxes
some like to just whine about immigrants
But they all come together to vote GOP EVEN though the things they don't like about the GOP do affect them, Like low wages and job insecurity.
They hurt their own lives, but either don't know it, or Don't Care
Because they get their one red meat issue that the GOP lets them gorge on.

Go back and listen to Ivanka's speech which included vague mentions of equal rights in the workplace and equal pay.

How do you defined "oppression?"
I only know that it is misused. White people in South Africa are 'oppressed' now. After the liberation to the black liberation gov't.
Is that oppression or 'justice'. I guess it's in the 'eye of the beholder'.
Oppression in America? Really? With all the f*#king lawyers running around LOOKING FOR LAWSUITS!
EDIT: Go back and listen to Ivanka's speech which included vague mentions of equal rights in the workplace and equal pay.
Good for her! Some pundits have problems with tht. Gov't mandated pay rates, that is.

Ivanka is a Democrat
Half the stuff she said were pure Liberal feel good policies
The other half was lying about how her father would implement them
If Republicans like bluring only knew that everything they hate: is exactly what the Republican Congress are trying to make happen and keep as the status quo
Do you think Mitch McConnell is going to go for any of these Trump Proposals???
Hell No, Mitch is going renegotiate the trade treaties so we get f*#ked even harder,
TPP, it's a Republican Agenda item
What kind of economic opportunities is Paul Ryan going to deal out to Americans? Zero, he is taking them away instead.

Oppression in America? Really? With all the f*#king lawyers running around LOOKING FOR LAWSUITS!
The LBGTQ, latinos, blacks, handicapped and poor are the ones oppressed,
WHY?
because they can't afford lawyers or have lobbyists.
I thought you knew how to apply critical thinking skills now.
I'm sorry, they are still lacking
Try again
Sorry
Don't want in her pants
I hate Ivanka, she is pure fake BS on TV
fake bOObs, fake face, fake fake fake
maybe she's a good mom
think really hard bluring through the next sentence!!!
She was a REGISTERD Democrat in JUNE, and couldn't vote for her Father in the Primaries, that was only a couple months ago
So please repeat after me, she is a Democrat

Things we learned from the RNC:
1. Trump cannot organize. The premise of his campaign is that he's an amazing businessman and a world class manager but the convention was a shitshow. Each night had a theme but virtually none of that speeches followed that theme. The day on "Making America Work Again" contained almost no content on jobs and turned largely into "imprison Clinton." Speeches were not vetted for content, theme, and in Malania's case, plagiarism. Speakers were not scheduled in a way that built energy and so someone like Laura Ingram who burned the place to the ground (and then appeared to give a Nazi salute which was odd) would be followed by a total snooze nobody knew.
2. Trump is not a respected businessman. Despite him being a pseudo-billionaire there was not a single speaker who was another businessman speaking well of Donald Trump. Nobody who said "I got creamed by Donald Trump but he's a serious guy who gets business and will be a business president." Despite having a show that is based on him mentoring business people, there was nobody who said that he had mentored them to great success other than his children. There were no people who worked in Trump enterprises who left and started their own successful busines who paid homage to the amazing lessons they learned from coming up through the Trump business empire. The one major businessman who spoke was a tech billionaire who is supporting Trump ideologically and has never actually done business with him.
3. Trump, and Republicans at large, has no specific policy ideas. There was no major policy agenda forwarded at the convention. There was an avocado farmer who said that she would do better if we stopped importing avocados from Mexico. That was it.
4. Trump always needs someone to blame and knows that's what Republicans want. That's basically what the convention (and Trump's speech) was about. You are hurting. It's someone else's fault. We will make them pay.
5. Trump (and Republicans in general) largely believes in an America that does not exist. The economy is doing better than he says. Crime is far lower than he claims. Immigration from south of the border has been net negative or even. Police are not statistically any higher at risk. Romney/Ryan claimed that they would get unemployment below 6% in 4 years. It's well under 6%. They said that Medicaid spending would balloon out of control if we didn't block grant it. Medicaid spending is billions of dollars lower than predicted and we expanded it. Despite that, they are pitching the exact same economic ideas.

Hillary is not the evil caricature of Fox news and 20 years of Republican mud slinging. But there is plenty to dislike:
I don't like the Clinton dynasty thing.
Is there any reason to think she is a Felon, no. But the Clinton's wealth has been attained in a pretty sleazy manner. Maybe no worse than many politicians and maybe they are just better at it. Still not thrilled by it.
I would actually like somebody younger than Hillary (although Trump and many of the other contenders are older). Reagan didn't have the mental fortitude for the job by his last year in office. Aging affects different people differently but the POTUS is under a huge amount of stress and older people generally get worse.
She is far more Neocon/pro-Israel/pro boots-on-the-ground than I like.
Her negatives are huge. Again, some of the can be attributed to successful efforts of R's to smear her the last 20 years, but it is still a negative. If Hillary wins in 2016, she will almost certainly be nominated in 2020 (incumbent presidents don't lose their party nominations: Carter didn't, Ford didn't, Hillary won't). Hillary will likely lose to any reasonable R in 2020 and I could see her losing to an unreasonable R in 2020. That is scary.
I do think she is pragmatic/wonkish and will be effective in foreign policy (if a bit too hawkish).

I really had never heard "Q" in this context until it uttered forth from Trump's mouth.
"Q" = Queer?
