If you have no stomach for war don't join the battle Raymond.
75% Reilly, well yes if you don't count those silent on the issues. And if you were truly opposite the issue of climate change, why haven't you been torn a new A hole.

Here's a link to a good article on the Syrian refugees.
Mead, the author, is a very well respected scholar on foreign policy and voted for Obama. A great source of non-partisan info.
"This crisis is in large part the direct consequence of President Obama’s decision to stand aside and watch Syria burn. For him to try and use a derisory and symbolic program to allow 10,000 refugees into the United States in order to posture as more caring than those evil Jacksonian rednecks out in the benighted sticks is one of the most cynical, cold-blooded, and nastily divisive moves an American President has made in a long time."

Walter Russell Mead, another classic three-name conservative chicken hawk, has it backwards. Rather than the president and liberals
trying to portray the fear-mongers as 'evil Jacksonian rednecks out in the benighted sticks', the right is trying to portray
Syrian refugees as evil muslim devils from out in the caliphate. The irony is palpable and the sheer audacity of the attempt to rationalize
fear and cowardice stems from the very heart and soul of the gop fear machine.
After fifty years of a deliberate strategy of fear, uncertainty and doubt, the gop has now devolved into a mere caricature of its
former self as a result and descended into tabloid hysteria not only for campaigns, but for governing as well. And in that
debauching of values, America has seldom sunk lower than it did this week when a bunch of ISIS-supporting cowards in congress
disgraced the honor of their offices and the institution they serve.
And such blatant governing and leading from and out of fear does nothing but broadcast the signal to the world that not only do we
lack the courage of our convictions, but that we have become weak and challengeable on every front. Well done.
As I said, cowards to a man and nothing but contempt towards those who would dare to justify that cowardice.

You must of course be speaking of this dooooood Healyje...
Vietnam is also the scene of a powerful aggression that is
spurred by an appetite for conquest.
It is the arena where Communist expansionism
is most aggressively at work in the world today—where
it is crossing international frontiers in
violation of international agreements; where it is
killing and kidnapping; where
it is ruthlessly attempting to bend free people to its will.
Into this mixture of subversion and war, of terror and hope,
America has entered.
Perfect summation of his actions and blatant behavior.
BTW, if he was alive today, and the ONLY Dem candidate running,
rest assurd that you and most other Liberals here would vote him
in and then re-elect this doood. All cus he is a Dem and by god,
you can not allow yourself to vote anything but, party lines.
The chief has taken over many threads by posting more than everyone
else on those threads. Is it only the number of insults that matter?
Another PRICELESS Phule post.

There is absolutely nothing you can say that will deflect, detract from or minimize the cowardice on display this week in congress.
In fact, your attempt to do so just ranks you among them as far as I'm concerned.

Of Course Healyje, the POTUS's actions the past ten days are those
of one that actually cares what the People of the US, France and the
world want to see acted upon by the Leader of the Free world.
This verbiage really set the tone for his concern regarding the horrific actions by ISIS over the Sinai Desert, Beirut and Paris.
They were nothing more than "Setbacks" in what he assured the world three days prior was an issue that was "Contained!"
Got it.

Have got to agree with Joseph Healy on this one. Right on Joseph. Our Nation has sunk so low. Washington DC a pit of vipers. Sad times for America.

Let stick to some facts for just a bit. Is the director of the FBI just another fraidy cat racist that we should feel is embarrassing the country then? He said: "FBI Director James Comey added in congressional testimony last month that “a number of people who were of serious concern” slipped through the screening of Iraq War refugees, including two arrested on terrorism-related charges. “There’s no doubt that was the product of a less than excellent vetting,” he said."

The progressives are hurtling towards self extinction. Many mind numbed robots, like the mullah from Portland posting above, will happily go down with the Potus's leaking ship of state. Others, like the now 31 governors (aren't all elephants) and grand dems like SF'S own Diane, are already boarding the lifeboats. You see, besides this man made disaster, there is also unfolding catastrophes like the unaffordable insurance act, not to mention the jackasses haven't anything more viable as prez candidates than geriatric bags of hot gas.

Although Comey said the process has since “improved dramatically,”
Of the more than 2,100 Syrian refugees accepted by the United States since 2012, most of them in the past year, half are children, a quarter are adults over 60 and only 2 percent are young males at what officials called “combat age.”

The worst thought police on supertopo is obviously the chief. He attacks every poster that post something that goes against his viewpoint and he posts so often that many of the other contributors stop posting or reading the threads because the threads quickly became all about the chief.

Before it even ramped up:
Following the rise in admissions of Iraqi refugees into the United States, it was discovered that two al Qaeda terrorists had managed to slip through the cracks and resettle in Kentucky in 2009. The FBI reportedly still has “dozens” of ongoing counterterrorism cases tied to these admissions.
