I don't need a beacon for a Cooder signal.
Sail? Got to; but I never fly the same flag for more than an hour.

Jon Lord, of Deep Purple, passed away July 16th. He was the one that pumped the organ and co-wrote some key songs, including Smoke On The Water. He was 71. RIP John Lord.

The Machine Head album played during many hours of my adolescent uprising. Following the Who's lead, they employed the Marshall Stack system as well as the twin stacks. (Pete Townsend taught Hendrix how to daisy chain em to expand it to four stacks).
I remember some unintentional head slammin' in Atlanta in 1973 due to those Marshall amps.
edit:
I missed apogee's thread earlier in the week.

@Tobia - Are you sure that Buckwheat photo fellow is not in all actuality Howlin' Wolf as a child?
I remember when Ry wanted to do Up at Lil Ray's, but decided to do Down in Mississippi instead. Gulfport, Shreveport, Port Arthur, any port in a storm I guess.
