Iron that out a tad Klingfelter. Should this reworked version be a better comparison? "
Let's keep the major facts and alter a couple of what ought to be minor details, just to see if it casts the situation in a new light: Instead of armed militia and federal grazing lands in Nevada, let's say the case involved black Americans in inner-city Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia or elsewhere who had been living in government owned housing for generations when they were told that the terms and conditions they had agreed too were changing without them being able to jack or sh#t about it. The black residents then stop payment in disagreement and protest. The feds win in court twice and then walk away and ignore it. 20 years later the feds suddenly show up in force with guns, surround the buildings and say Get the F out". The blacks refuse to recognize the federal government's authority saying, my great great grandpa had been invited to live here by General Grant"... and then had called for help. Amrican citizens show up to help, they are heavily armed to help fend off federal officials who attempted to reclaim the taxpayer property and see that justice as they see it is served.

How would any media have responded? As a celebration of "liberty and freedom!!"?

My money would be that the media would have been sympathetic, much more so I would suspect.

So rural issues are legit because these folks have had the benefit of inheriting resources and wealth.

...and urban issues are unimportant and fleeting?

Well, that's not what I said, sorry if I gave that impression.

Urban issues are more important. They affect more people, for one thing.

Here's a statement from the President of Archer Daniel Midland:

"Our competitors are our friends. Our customers are the enemy."

from a secret recording made for an Dept of Justice antitrust case against a cartel of some of the largest and most powerful agricultural corporations:

http://www.justice.gov/atr/public/speeches/4489.htm

Dealing with such cartels is complex, challenging, frustrating. They have expensive lawyers, powerful lobbyists, huge budgets (ADM: 90 billion in revenue last year). It makes things easy when they stay in the background, quietly raking in huge profits while their customers and suppliers--"the enemy"--all fight loudly among ourselves.

If there's a legitimate target for ranchers' ire, it might be these huge agricultural corporations.

Personally, I think traditional Western ranching is kind of doomed. Almost 150 years of ranching in the arid Western US has wreaked havoc on the fragile deserts and rangelands. Far too many animals. Should mostly be phased out.

Why is it that someone's entire so-called "intellectual" output can be encapsulated in just one cartoon?

There is no intellect.

I don't get why you act so tough the Chef.
Don't you avoid people in real life and pretend to not know them?
When you meet face to face, or when people threaten to tell your boss Kurt Wedberg that you spend all day being an as#@&%e on the internet while he pays you to schedule guiding and answer phone calls and other such banalities that make up your j-o-b?

I'm sorry you were some army retard that got hooked on the sauce and lost good years to it.
I'm sorry all you can do now is sh#t on people because you yourself are so small and hateful and full of anger that you can't go a day without being an insecure, unpleasant nobody.

Maybe you need to find religion or something. Maybe you need a time out from here too.
A self imposed ban. Go take a vacation. Go hike. Go do something rather than be a knuckle dragging assh0le on every site you're a member of.

Snopes, Wikipedia, NPR, and the entire global scientific community have been proven to carry a strong liberal bias. It's quite obvious when you consider that these people and institutions attempt to form objective, reasoned beliefs that cohere to reality. And as we all know, reality itself has a strong liberal bias.

And why do you make fun of other climbers? What have you done?
What, a couple climbs and you're the boss?
You're so jealous of others it's sad.

I remember you'd keep posting the same lame FA you did all over SP meanwhile the guys from pullharder were out there knocking out all kinds of climbs without even a peep on that site. Jealous loser.

Edit: stalker too. If you ruffle his granny panties he digs up info on you and tries calling your employer. What a man eh?
