FACT: The only reason anybody drinks Kaluha is that not everybody has tried Tia Maria.

"Just got back from Yosemite. We went up there via Paso Robles, a great wine area."

Fabulous, actually. The next Napa. Mark my words. Seriously.

J. Lohr: Big winery, right? SUPERB product, and a great tasting room. Their October Harvest 08 Chardonnay - from Monterey, actually - is unequivocally the BEST Chard I have ever tasted. Better than the heavyweights like Rombauer. [did I spell that right?] Superb buttery malolactic fermentation - they Know Stuff.

"and PTPP, i saw some of you on youtube and you are 1 fearless crazy fuk."

Knocking on a hundred and fifty thousand views, eh? Not exactly viral, though. I may be retired from big wall soloing, however, at least until I am older than Mark Hugedong.

This thread is hilarious and some of us (read; me) are still drinking.

Jeebus- my sister moved to Denton TX told me she knows the type of Texan I loathe told me she hasn't really seen many of them. I told her it's because they've been in Colorado treating their servers like sh#t.

I've been asked why some of the cliffs were red and some grey.

What elevation do texans go into cardiac arrest?

Not low enough

Jest warming up.

Tom & Jerry with a shot of dark rum as a little "nerve-tonic," and now I'm sipping on some Rodney Strong Cab.

Ok stuff for Idaho.

Stroganoff Night at the Ranchette is tonight!!

A combined Fritz & Heidi cooking effort: that normally involves at least two-bottles of wine.

A Big Thunderstorm is predicted for later on tonight.

That's strange-weather-shist for Idaho on Dec. 30th.

Can't hardly wait for the fireworks!

The lightning storm blew by at about 30MPH. Great holiday fireworks, but I was a few minutes late -----to be dumb enough to try to take photos.

----damn I love a little alcohol for inspiration.

I was under the cover of our porch, but I got doused with rain, blown to schist, and some time exposures of darkness.

Everytime the 15 second exposure ended----a lightning strike would follow.

SCHIST!

Guess I'll stay inside and drink!

Happy night-before before New Year's Eve!

Just got out of the cave last night after a 27-hour trip, so one beer pretty much did the job.

Plan to make up for yesterday's shortfall tonight...

Ha! Just read Aaron's post. "Markers Mark" indeed.

Howdy.

Happy New Years!

I'm winding down my booze clock, so tonight is pretty mellow.

A couple of Magic Hat seasonals and a tumbler of Eagle Rare should do the trick to ring in the new year here.

Here's to a great next trip round the sun and continued happiness to you and those you care about.

Cheers,
Brandon

Tami????

Did I post a purloined photo??

Hard to believe I wouldn't have seen a Gabon viper about to bite an Euro Robin somewhere in my travels (travails)??

Musta been drunk!

Gotta a stray cat being real sweet. We think he is walking around working neighboring "cat-suckers" for eats.

Kinda strange-looking, but really a friendly cat.

What do we call him?

Adolph, Groucho, & Hitler have been suggested????
