Calm down, take a breath. The only relevant issue is who can beat Obama. THAT is who should run. I am not convinced Cain can do it. I am certain that he might make an excellent VP. Ken raises some excellent points about his health which need to be factored in, as well.
You are getting too worked up over this. Look at the broader picture.
Lois, I will vote for anybody but Obama. I'm just saying that Romney and Perry are faux-conservatives. Cain is the real deal. He isn't a bullsh#t-artist like Romney/Perry. He actually appears to give a crap.
And I understand he's in recovery from his illness. Recession.
Weak reason to not like him...
Romney and Perry are posers.

As far as Clinton goes, Billy Bud is and was just fine with me. I had no major issues with him.
HA!
LEB, of soft memory, doesn't remember that Clinton somehow did not get it's vote. It still insults Clinton, it would still not vote for Clinton no matter what, it would still not vote for Clinton's WIFE, no way, no how.
Oh, just another LEB "misunderstanding"......

Comrade Norton, I imagine you've already done this too, I've bought a small plot of land in New Hampshire, and I've registered in anticipation for the upcoming primary.......Republican. It's amazing what a small plot of land goes for.

Ken, I am a registered Republican in my state, and I vote in all their primaries.
Just makes good political sense for us all to vote for the candidates we want to see run in the general elections.
God bless America

Ken,
I do wish to thank you for sharing your perceptions, thus clearing up this matter. It certainly does explain a whole lot of that which here-to-fore made no sense to me. Continued interaction would be pointless and would likely generate nothing but additional hostility. There would be no realistic prospect of us ever achieving any meeting of the minds. In fact, discussion would foster both of us to invest time and energy into patently negative pursuits. Doing so would certainly not represent a positive use of our respective life energies. If it is all the same to you, then, regarding future discussions between us, I shall simply pass.

The Federal GSA, You know, the agency that's expert in building management, can't even keep the toilets and urinals from exploding and causing serious injury.

(When's the last time you heard of a private property management firm having the same problem on a continuing basis?)
But the "progressives" want us to put our healthcare in the hands of the same class of incompetents.

Ken, that is great. Adding creedance that Dems will sabotage a vote when they can't win. I thought only Repubs did that, according to you and your ilk?
So now it's cool if you do it too? Isn't that hypocritical?
Proud citizen, you are...Way to rise above the fray.

Bob,
Well based on what you have put forth, it makes absolutely no sense for us to engage in discussion. I don't agree with any of those assessments which you have offered but you are certainly entitled to your opinion. For my part, I am only interested in having debates with people who are not overtly hostile and genuinely wish to look at the various issues. If you perceive me in the light you have outlined, then, of course, you WILL be hostile. You would be unable to meet my criteria for having non-hostile interaction as a requisite for discussion.

I have asked you not to engage in political discussion with me because I have concern regarding your escalating hostility and the sheer volume of comments you have been directing towards me of late. I feel it is not healthy for you nor I be be so engaged in this sort of interaction. I see it as a red flag. I would ask that you respect my request and refrain from involving me in your commentaries. There are many other people here with whom you can engage in discussion and with whom you can have a far more cool-headed conversation.
LEB, As long as you continue to post on a climbing forum, you are going to be stuck with getting responses from climbers. Oh glory me! That may be an outcome that you may find unfortunate and unhealthy FOR YOU, to be exposed to, as you are likely to have your BS and "misunderstandings" unmasked as fast as you post them. In an unfriendly way.
You may find the fact that you have no climbing interest or credentials, nor respect for such, generates hostility. Wow!
there is an obvious solution.

John,
While I will hold that I am not the person described in your a*#essment, neither am I going tolerate any abuse from you. As I told you previously, I do not "do" abuse. Once I sense that such is an individual's main agenda, I simply ignore them and do not address any of their posts. Such encounters simply become too overtly hostile for my tastes.
