Look at the Mauna Kea data for the seasonal differences (2-6 months) from plant uptake. Look at the same data to see the decadal difference from warming SST and increased outgassing. Look at the ice cores for millennial data on the variation (220-380ppm or even more short term)from milankovitch cycles , and solar variations induced glaciation and deglaciations. Look at the same data Base does for finding petroleum for geological scale variations and causes. Tear up your copy of Limits to Growth and get a new bible that is less deceptive and more transparent.

So Rick, have you actually read or tried to understand this book? I'm guessing you haven't. Pretty much nothing in your rant against it was true, not even the authorship.

Why haven't any of the hundreds of geologists (and other scientists) I have known and/or worked with thought to look at these things? By golly, they sure are going to flip when they find out these cutting edge ideas that turn the entire field of Earth science on it's head came from the grade school educated Dr. Al Siding.

It's amusing to witness how The Chief leads many of you hotheads, supposedly highly educated among you, merrily into his little toilet. You probably don't even realize what those swirling waters mean as your going down the drain. Of course there are some critical thinkers worth engaging here, people like Ed, Base, Bruce, and the more reserved Wilbeer, who make the three ring circus worth attending.
