John,

I do wish to thank you for sharing your perceptions, thus clearing up this matter. It certainly does explain a whole lot of that which here-to-fore made no sense to me. Continued interaction would be pointless and would likely generate nothing but additional hostility. There would be no realistic prospect of us ever achieving any meeting of the minds. In fact, discussion would foster both of us to invest time and energy into patently negative pursuits. Doing so would certainly not represent a positive use of our respective life energies. If it is all the same to you, then, regarding future discussions between us, I shall simply pass.

My husband has told me about some of these leftist forums. He tells me they are absolutely rabid in their hateful vitriol toward the right.

This is cracking me up, as though the right doesn't also have rabid people within it.

Oh those rabid lefties.

remember when Bush said to anyone who protested the wars, you are either for us or against us. He said we were unpatriotic to protest the wars. And so did many on the right, including many on this forum. Bush was expressing so much hatred, and he was our leader.

Ron, Herman is THE best candidate to me. The Repub machine and the media are afraid of him though, and they will attempt to marginalize him. They already have.

But people really like him.

Perry is done with his stances on illegal immigration. Can't win. He should be thrown under the bus.

Rally around Cain. I also liked his choice of running mates.

Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas.'

No sh#t. It is only harmful to humans in the absense of oxygen. CO2 will kill ya, but it is also the life-blood of plants that return oxygen to us.

It's a balance.

"Blue,,he certainly isnt "main stream" and that will probably doom him, but none the less, he has my support."

Be real, you guys....you're gonna support anyone who can beat Obama, even if they are only 50% aligned with your beliefs. Hell, you'd vote for Ron Paul if he was polling strongly, and the election was next week.

"I like Cain, also, but Ken makes a very valid point. It is very, very difficult to beat stage 4 colon cancer."

Might want to think about that when/if Cain selects his running mate.

Not that it will matter a helluva lot- you guys voted for McLame even though there was a strong possibility he'd leave the office to Caribou Barbie. Once again, the bottom line is the same: if the candidate can beat Obama, that's all that will matter to you.

We just don't need big government making a law that we have to wear seat belts.

Much bigger fish out there to fry than seatbelt-laws.

Wow, when I posted "Pot Kettle Toast" I didn't expect it to be served right away on a platter. I'm not trying to diss you two but hoping you'll see how you're projecting and not seeing your side of things.

Skipt wrote

Karl,

I quit caring what you think long ago. I pretty much find you a typical two bit "greedy" fraud.

Yawn...

So then Lois chimes in

Karl,

How precisely do you find Skipt to be a "greedy fraud." He seems very generous and spends considerable monies on charitable pursuits. How, also, is he fraudulent? I am not see either of those qualities.

Well Lois, I didn't call Skipt a "Greedy Fraud." He called me one. I didn't call him any name but suggested that we wasn't giving the sort of information he was asking for from the "Liberals"

So then Skipt writes

We have a trust we help people with. It is written in a way that the monies can only be used to help those under the age of 18.

All budgeting is done in July so when Karl asked for help, I thought maybe I could convince the people in charge (my daughter) to make some wiggle room for karl. And, help him in his hour of need.

It is a serious issue and causes me to have some legal obligations to take care of first.

We wrote back and forth. He turned me down saying he had someone helping him.

Now he calls me a fraud. He calls me greedy.

He is a punk.

I will never. And, I mean never go out of my way for this asswipe ever again.

Huh? I never used the word "fraud" for you. You did that to me, and then Lois tried to pin it on me.

If you must revisit that incident with my arm. I didn't ask for help. I told my story and related the challenges I was facing but didn't ask anyone for any money. Skip wrote me saying he knew of a good surgeon, but I wrote him back saying my insurance was an obstacle in just choosing any surgeon. (this is all in writing btw, I never have phoned Skipt) He concluded the email by suggesting if I needed any help, to ask him. This is fine and charitable and very few people went this far and so i commend him for it, but I certainly didn't get that he offered to pay for anything, much less everything, although perhaps he had something in mind. I only lay this out here since it has been brought up several times.

A few old friends did send me some money at that time, unsolicited, and they are in my heart, both before and after.

Just to summarize. Skipt called me a greedy fraud and an asswipe for merely reposting his own messages from a page where he accused the left of not being substantial in their arguments, but called him nothing, and then Lois accuses me of saying what Skipt said, and then Skipt somehow thinks I did!

Just making this clear. When confronted with what we can't accept about ourselves, we go into denial and post stuff that's demonstrably not true

Peace

Karl

Edit: Did a supertaco search on "greedy fraud" Never said such a thing

He already has.

It will be the last guy that produced a budget with a surplus.

OK, TGT, you made me look.

A quick google didn't turn up anything but a very speculative Cain-Gingrich ticket. One Repub forum posed this pairing, and the only comment thusfar was "good lord, no."

More entertainingly, Perry apparently would like to see Cain & Gingrich 'mate', producing his ideal running mate. Eww. I mean, really....ewww.
