The level of vitriolic rhetoric is just unprecedented on this forum.
I am just appalled at the viciousness of the attacks.
My heart breaks every time I read a personal insult.
My, my, my, it makes me just want to go and feed my bunnies.

I just don't understand this anger towards us conservatives.
We have said nothing to deserve this despicable treatment.
We present our viewpoints with delicate and precise logic, and all we get is ridicule.
I am just sick about this.
I just don't know how to handle it anymore.
I want to cry.

Lois, you are in that place again, where you start with the broad stroke. Just who is "them"? Am I one of "them"? I know and like plenty of conservative women. Most of my family is filled with conservative women. I am the token liberal in my family. You can't really judge liberal men based on the few on this forum who are willing to converse with you.

I don't know all of the background of what passed between Karl and Skip, but I do know that Karl looked for these emails Skip says he sent, and the only ones he could find reference a surgeon Skip offered to try to get Karl a referral to. Karl was having trouble finding a surgeon that would take his insurance. Skip didn't know if the surgeon would take the insurance and by that time, Karl had decided to go stay with his parents and get surgery from someone who had worked on him in the past. Plus it turned out that the surgeon Skip recommended wasn't even available at the time. At the end of the email Skip offered if there was any other way he could help, to let him know. But Karl didn't remember anything about Skip offering to pay.
I could imagine that if Skip explained about his trust, that Karl would say don't bother, because he would figure something out, but I don't kow if this is what happened.
In Karl's defense. He was in a whole lot of pain, and having to scramble to get things done. In a few days he probably got hundreds of emails, all while trying to deal with a severely broken arm. Pain pills and clear thinking don't always go together.
If Skip really did offer to try to get his trust to pay, then I wouldn't mind seeing those emails.

Well based on what you have put forth, it makes absolutely no sense for us to engage in discussion. I don't agree with any of those assessments which you have offered but you are certainly entitled to your opinion. For my part, I am only interested in having debates with people who are not overtly hostile and genuinely wish to look at the various issues. If you perceive me in the light you have outlined, then, of course, you WILL be hostile. You would be unable to meet my criteria for having non-hostile interaction as a requisite for discussion.
Your attitude, here-to-fore, makes a whole lot more sense, given what you have stated in your last post. If such is truly what you believe, I will not attempt to change your mind. It is obvious that you are entrenched in that viewpoint and your perceptions are not likely to be altered. In fact, you will predictably persist in those perceptions of me regardless of anything I say or do. Accordingly, as you wish, thus it will be BUT then, I trust you will also understand if I elect not to any answer of your various posts ever directed at me.
While I will hold that I am not the person described in your a*#essment, neither am I going tolerate any abuse from you. As I told you previously, I do not "do" abuse. Once I sense that such is an individual's main agenda, I simply ignore them and do not address any of their posts. Such encounters simply become too overtly hostile for my tastes.
I do wish to thank you for sharing your perceptions, thus clearing up this matter. It certainly does explain a whole lot of that which here-to-fore made no sense to me. Continued interaction would be pointless and would likely generate nothing but additional hostility. There would be no realistic prospect of us ever achieving any meeting of the minds. In fact, discussion would foster both of us to invest time and energy into patently negative pursuits. Doing so would certainly not represent a positive use of our respective life energies. If it is all the same to you, then, regarding future discussions between us, I shall simply pass.

By contrast you DO discuss issues and you do so quite intelligently BUT you get entirely too emotional and then quickly descend into name calling and hurling insults. That tendency does makes you rather less appealing as well, in terms of online discussion. In short, you get entirely too hostile so I am becoming less and less interested in discussing anything with you. If you could maintain a civil tongue in your head and also be less overtly hostile, then I would not mind discussing issues with you. Such would not appear to be the case. Less and less, I want to bother to answer any of your posts directed at me. It always gets to the same place wherein you hurl insults and invectives, attacking my character or intellect. Who needs that?

Thus when one googles "santorum":

Priceless, and appalling.
This is quite typical of the left's ruthless personal attacks on us constitutional conservatives.

They rachet up the vitriol big time when dealing with conservative women. It is as if they become so incensed that they take leave of all normal discourse and perspectives engaging in ranting and raving reminiscent of erupting volcanos. The very presence of a conservative female within their view sight pushes their buttons on some deep and profound level.
