hmmm, why does chuff always post a picture of a powerful vibrating machine he desperately wants to put between his legs whenever he is losing worse than usual?

It was an olive branch.

And you ARE an idiot. A willfully ignorant idiot who apparently refuses to even try to understand. Like Don Quixote offering an olive branch to a windmill while insisting it is a dragon... then acting indignant when the vanes refuse to stop swinging.

You are right Sketch,always RIGHT.

So far, no one has been able to provide a compelling answer to why climate change seems to be taking a break

Really, Sketch.

LOL, Sketch, you still don't get it. My graph was not to disprove the actual temps, but to show the natural oscillations behind it.

BTW, it's cute your data starts from 2002, go back a couple years and you get quite a different answer. Obvious cherry picking.

Speaking of cherry picking. Red and Blue lines are cherry picked. One shows a steep rise and the other much less.

Nice bit of curve fitting.

What order polynomial do you reckon it took to fit that global temperature curve in Monolith's graphic?

Which of the AR4 climate models accurately anticipated the impact of those variables?

Which AR4 models accurately predicted volcanoes? Predicted ENSO and the sun? None of them, that's not what the global climate models do. But what Monolith's graphic shows is that scientists can well represent the impacts of those factors, if we know when they happen.

hahaaaaa... discussing global climate model predictions, which rely on GCMs, which rely on numerical methods to solve the Navier-Stokes equations on a spinning sphere... with idiots like chuff and sketch who don't even know what differential equations are, let alone non-linear partial differential equation, and wouldn't know the first thing about how they are solved.

fuking idiots.

hahahaaa... yeah, blame my education (which involved all the math underlying the models in question) for the fact that you are all a bunch of willfully ignorant idiots incapable or unwilling to pull you heads out of your asses and learn something other than the false information your similarly uneducated masters puke out on their blogs. Stop being fuking idiots and I will stop calling you fuking idiots.

don't need a phd to know some folks wouldn't recognize a fact if they were scraping it off their shoe.

A volcanoe question:
"the lack of volcanism during the period 1925-1960 could account, at least partly, for the observed warming trend in this period". Bertrand was investigating the effect of solar and volcanic influence on climate and concluded "these are clearly not sufficient to explain the observed 20th century warming and more specifically the warming trend which started at the beginning of the 1970s".
Yet in this same report, it says that previous spikes of volcanic activity can COOL the earths temps for a decade or more..
So does that contradict the above quote from that same article?

I just had to quote this.

It was Sketch's assumption that Ed got his answer from some website, which is why he demanded to know the link. The concept of doing your own analysis is so far beyond Sketch, he felt insulted.

It really blows my mind that you guys can discredit our government, our scientists, our science and NASA.

Real AMERICAN of all you deniers.

Here on the internet ,real accountable of you all.

Go ahead ,start the insults, call me names, mock my divorce, whatever.

That all says more about you than it does me.But how would you know?

Returning from a hard days work i see you guys are once again drifting hopelessly off topic into non productive insult hurling.

My ears are burning. Ron, once again thanks but no thanks, i'm quite capable of kicking these guys asses on my own.

Bruce you are correct about it being 9/10ths of the fun, sometimes anyway. I didn't know you were a homosexual, not that there is anything wrong with that-credit Jerry Seinfeld 2000. I never impersonated a scientist, just represented my interpretation of the science i have seen on this subject. That is still a basic human right even in this day and age,eh?

Sketch you're taking the high road-that's good. Below is a link to an interesting presentation to the Russian academy of science from solar scientist Habillo Abdusmatov. All of you realists out there should take a good read of it. It was updated in 2009 and makes predictions, some of which are pretty spot on.

Ed, you have a love of teaching science. I, for one appreciate it because in an eon or two it will lend capability to countering your arguments. To bad you have the opposite ideology, sort of like the wiki link below. And for the second time here is also a link to protests by those falsely counted as pro-AGW in the Cook et al paper.
