anybody who just watched this final night of the rnc and dismisses trump is another building block to his potentially becoming president.
start with the press attracting flubs and outrageousness of the first couple nights and then finish up on the final night with a gay capitalist, a well-spoken real estate investor followed by a well-spoken daughter and attempt to start closing the deal with the demogogue himself.
'cause whether calculated and intentional or chaotic and opportunistic... we all just got played like fiddles...
these last few days have been a master class in political propaganda...
because if any of you think what just happened wasn't intentional... well... you've either woken up from a six month coma or you have the attention span of goldfish...
trump is following exactly the same script he used to win the republican nomination... except just as he promised months ago, he's now shifting to pander to a new audience: now he's going to address the wage disparity between working mothers and their single counterparts and he's going to protect the lgtbq from violence...
it's going to be very interesting to see what the political machinery of america's "abuela" and her correct the record schills can muster in return... given the press scrum avoiding, painfully stilted and unnatural speech delivering mess of contradiction that hillary is, it's going to be one hell of an interesting next few months.
both camps have their work cut out for them... for almost exactly the opposite reasons.
who needs reality tv when you've got reality tv like this.

So here is the situation as I see it:
There are a number of people on both sides who think he would be a total disaster. Most troubling are the experts in diplomacy and defense, who have come out in favor of Hillary.
But generally, it is people who have actual experience, who have generally been real patriots. You've also got pundits on the Repub side who have denounced him. George Will has quit the party over it.
So the people in the media who have access to people, who are generally well educated and experienced in these area, and know the ropes.... They must be very concerned.
Consider this: If you'd been a German newspaperman working in Germany while Hitler was arising, and you could read the writing on the wall, would you have done anything? Or, recognizing the opportunity if you shackle your wagon to his, would you become a cheerleader?
We are approaching a situation that reminds people of that, and what to do?

A couple of thoughts
He mentioned things that happened fifteen years ago. Umm, Bush was president.
How is he going to lower the murder rate in Chicago? Oh I know, put the blacks in jail.
I did notice that not everyone was clapping.
