Our local fun zone yesterday, what great fun. My buddy, “Did I ever tell you how much I like skiing?” - me, “yes every time we go”. BTW those north facing hemlocks above 9,000’ was a slice of heaven yesterday in the Tahoe Sierra.....cold and light just the way you like it.

Howdy, Nobody here...
Anybody here on NTN? If so, any words of wisdom when it comes to binding choices and why one over the other?
I have Freerides and am considering Outlaws. I don't have a lot of days on the Freerides but they feel mechanical to me and have heard that the Outlaws force the boot to flex more at the ball of the foot....
I have TX-Comp boots(no tech holes) and plan on only using this set-up on area as my skis are Nordica Enforcers, so my set-up is heavy, just like I like it for area/sidecountry slacker skiing.
I'll get my 'tech' on next year after this year's tech goes on sale!
Thanks and Happy Turnsgiving

Cragar,
Moving from the Freerides to Outlaw X is pretty easy skiing-wise, but getting in & out quickly & efficiently will be the hard part, especially if you add brakes. Step-in doesn't work so well unless you're on a really flat surface, and getting out can be grabby as well. But I do like the way they ski. Almost as nice as the Meidjos (which may not be quite beefy enough for heavy resort use).
Cheers,
Mike

Got out for a couple of days in the indian peaks last week. Got to ski some really nice powder but the runs were short with a fair bit of walking to get to it.
