This thread and community support for one of their own is golden. I never met Blitzo but I have admired his photography for years. He really took some remarkable images, photos that require a certain mastery, passion and dedication to produce. He rubbed elbows with many of the greats, Harding, Bachar, Dano to name a few. Can't imagine the stories he must have living the life for all these years. I know what it's like to lose a good friend, most of us do. The hurt does linger for awhile, but we are left with memories and we take our friends wherever we go. Though, it just doesn't seem right when someone with such a connection with the wild places has to exit in a freaking hospital bed, with the grace and loving support of a lifetime of so many friendships it doesn't matter. Peace to you Blitzo thanks for inspiration!

Beautiful Todd. Damn he's a talented one behind the camera. He's given us so many images for the ages. 40 years of amazing photography will live on. Thank you so much for sharing that. Very apropos right now. Billy's seen a wonderful world through his camera lens. Thanks for sharing and thanks for being there for him at the hospice.
Per Sooze, Billy's still peacefully resting right now, as he has been all day.
Locker, Russ and Sooze are with him. Kate and Sonya just left. Bluclockr spent time. And Todd. And LeighAnne. He's surrounded by those who love him very much and has been with friends all day. And of course the energy of all of us thinking of him who can't be there by his side. I know he feels it.

I honestly believe the energy and love of you all is making all the difference. He's peacefully been resting for and preparing for his journey. . No struggle or bad energy; just love, trust and presence of good friends.
Thank heavens we have a private room, great staff is only supportive and here to help. Meanwhile, we're telling stories and having a bit of a salut of beers to our buddy. Kate, soff cookay, Russ, Locker, myself & blueblocker. Locker on orange juice but the rest of us drinking some of Blitzos favorite libations.
Thanks for Todd & Leigh-ann for your visits. And thanks to all for the sage, love, photos , emails.... It is making the difference. Also, huge comfort the wonderful staff. What genuine caring people!

Oh very nice, Das blute has had a few of those beers for sure. I remember the day he would go straight to the Good Beer Mart and get a high percentage beer hisself after a hard day of work grinding.
Yep LuLu and the blute grinding concrete with about the visibility of one micron, dust everywhere. Mask on of course, unlike others i know!
Lot of good memories there Bill, ordering from Top 100 we delivery, Not a typo, actually on the sign. Good ole 29. The sand man!

Draining the Staborater at Russ's & Soooooze's when they weren't looking. Untiiiiil Russ got the motion sensor camera. We where onto that though, not Lu Lu! Busted his ass quite a few times, made him quit drinking i heard.
By the way Blooter, love your photo's! Frikin love em. Wish i could tell you to your face.
How about all those times i would be at Pine Sprgs on the Puter" at 7am with my back to the slider and there would be a shadow flash by, i would turn around and there was nothing! But it was the Blute shuffllin quickly into the Garage, "aka Fish Prods" to his facebook time.
You did that on purpose didn't you? Sneaky SOB! Light on your feet you are.
Been thinkin about for 3 weeks now, it is great knowing you.
