Uncle Jimmie Weldon and Aunt Bernice. She came on and advertised one of their sponsors which I think may have been Mode O' Day. Al Radka did Lesterburger

Say "Cheese, it's been thirty-three years, Dude."

Throwpie and Mouse this afternoon, the middle of Earth, fickly fingering each other. He has tendonitis, hence his finger brace.

Remind me to reminisce later. This was an unexpected visit, it's all too much, we drank some bitchen ale and smoked some bitchen home-grown, and it's just all too beautiful.

The TIM, in the feathery flesh as he is today.

Ed Abbey is now a buzzard, fifth generation.

Nothing beats good home-grown better than really good home-grown. Thank, "Throwpie," aka nevetS daetslaW.

On a lighter note. It put a smile on my face to see you two together. I'm glad you pulled it off.

Well, I just read a neebee gmail about small mouse treasures and wouldn't you know...

Steve's art is blooming. He showed me some fantastic stuff on his I-phone...

He and Peggy will be coming to Facelift this year.

The duct tape finger brace is a nice touch eh? The finger cracks combined with thirty years of windsurfing have taken their toll. Nice to visit the mousehouse. A hang is a hang.

It's been even longer a time since the Rev has seen you, Throwpig.

We just spoke and he is eager to get together as we can. We need to visit him in Greeley Hill soon. I said "Hellow" just like you asked. He said,

This is a bottle of Rose which I purchased on a whim at the Merced Antique Mall today. Little did I realize that Throwpie was coming. We opened it and immediately went to the Downtown Brown and the Pipeline Porter.

Howard Hughes. Howard the Duck, more like it, it was that bad. But the bottle is quaint.

Life is good. Leggs has it right. At least for today. :)

News o' The Flames - big time Robbie, big time

"Six samples that were taken from Lance Armstrong were retested in '05 and they were positive," USADA head Tygart recently told "60 Minutes."

The tests were originally taken in 1999, before there was a test for EPO, he said. When new tests were conducted in 2005, "all six were flaming positive," he said.

hey there, say, mouse.... wow, nice new zealand bird, :)

most pics do not show fast, here, but that one did...

say, as to the finger and the brace...
i DID one with scotch tape... mine was this kind of a situation:

it was a 'trigger finger'thing... runs in my mom's family...
also happens to farmers, and folks that do heavy lifting...

it is a tendon thing... the finger will LOCK in a curl, :(

there are stretch exercises that one can do for it...
but--it is best to BRACE IT FOR A FEW WEEKS, or a month, or so
so it gets well...

mine after about 4? months, got well and does not lock anymore...

i used to WRONGLY balance heavy cat litter boxes on it, as, it was the
only way to drag them out of the low-ceiling cages, at the cat shelter where i worked, and thus, i used my leg to help and ruined my hip-nerve...
(better than ruining my back, which the other gal did to hers) :O

somefolks get it where it locks and will not come undone...
then, they have to get surgery, :O

my mom's 80 year old sis just did this, recently...

my mom's finger is now okay, though...

After the so-called "meadow riots" of the summer of 1970 in the valley, the rangers tried to come up with a plan on how to handle the "hippies"... Was his name "Herb" (the irony must have escaped me at the time); who was the long haired older guy who used to hang around the Degnan dorms and the Donohoe house. He got stoned in the meadows a lot and like to let people know he was on acid. Anyway, he told me he had a meeting with the rangers and they asked him what he thought they should do. He thought about it for a while and he said "Throw pies. If the hippies start throwing rocks throw pies back at them." They stared at him for a while in disbelief and then one of them sighed and said "You know, it just might work." As far as I know, nothing ever came of it.

Ah yes....the meadow riots. Before that, it was a pretty groovy scene around Stonemans Bridge. I posted this in another thread, so I just moved it here...typing is such a chore...

Lets see...being a 18 yr old kid from Merced in 1968, Yosemite was my San Francisco and Stonemans bridge was my Haight Street. Became a full hippie by smoking my first joint under said bridge. Met two freaks in a van named Thor and Raoul, scored a handful of Purple Double Domes and tripped with my buddies for the first time among the cascades above Happy Isles. And it was a Full Dose. Just like the movies. I recall the rocks were spongy and looked like persian rugs.

Lots of other groovy stuff happened over the summer(s). Missed the Stoneman Meadows riot...ironically, I was in SF that weekend.

Got busted by ranger Bob Cahill for pot, locked up in the Yosemite jail, sent to Mariposa for grilling, then two nights in Merced juvi. Bummer. But I did get a job as a Merced city garbage man from my probation officer, so all was cool. Great job.

Not too long after that, I ran into de Flames, was taught to tie a figure eight, and the rest is history.
