Once the fire dept. was called they have to go by the book or the county is open for legal action.
Last year when young boys got them selfs stuck on the south side of jesus wall by pink drips we did go get a rope & safe them. But knot until they heard Guyman calling them little girls & saying they needed to steep down & over two steps. Once the long haired blond without a shirt & big muscles (the one that needed the rope) got over on safe ground he agreed with Guyman. & it was all laughs from there.

my first free solo of s-crack was just three years into climbing.

Perhaps a final note re the rescue: I was watching KCAL news when they reported the incident. The reporter described the rescued as "experienced climbers".

Oh, and he said it was only 250 ft. tall.

s-crack is the crack to the left.

Good question. When I first saw it about 30+ years ago it had Turlock painted across the NW face.
