Can Trump pardon himself...?
He can only pardon himself in private. There are laws against publicly pardoning himself.

Cohen is facing at least some Federal charges. It was a Federal search warrant that served him up, piping hot, to Federal prosecutors. I have no doubt he will also face some State charges, to head Trump off at the pass.
Trump's campaign manager, Paul Manafort, has been indicted in Virginia State Court, as well as Federal Court. In February, a Virginia grand jury indicted Manafort for tax, financial, and bank fraud crimes. Trump can't pardon him for those crimes.

Sounds like there are fair odds Cohen regularly tape-recorded his calls and that they might have scored a trove of such recordings. Regardless, you can bet it will be a bounty of badness.

When they opened Al Capone's vault, it was empty.
When they opened Michael Cohen's vault, it was so full of goodies they spilled out into the room.
Trump's command of language isn't the best. So, it's easy to understand that he confused "Cohen" for "Cohn", and thought that Michael Cohen would be the effective dirty trickster that Roy Cohn supposedly was.
Cohen != Cohn
Here's another one to file under, "You Can't Make This Stuff Up":
Kimba Wood, the judge hearing the legal fight between federal investigators and the President Trump lawyer who inked a hush agreement with a porn star, trained to be a Playboy bunny in 1966.
At this point, the only way to shock the audience would be to reveal Melania Trump to be a transvestite.
Trump reverses course on Russian sanctions, overruling his advisors
Trump is trying to kiss and make up with Putin. He's hoping Putin will forgive him and take him back, and let him live at the Kremlin.
Kimba Wood has no intention of denying that she worked briefly at a Playboy club. Back then, the cocktail waitresses, in their bunny outfits, were entirely separate from the girls who posed nude in the magazine. She could have just as well have been a waitress at the Russian Tea Room.
Judge Wood, already a Federal court superstar, was at the center of a spectacular marriage detonation in 1995 that involved a multi-millionaire Wall Street guy whose diary was raided by his wife.
My guess is that a transvestite Melania-lookalike will seek fifteen minutes of fame.
The circus is in town, and now is the time to join it.

Sean Hannity appears to have embarked on a toila-swirl journey into oblivion. Fox News is already synonymous with sex scandal. Hannity is apparently about ready to be dethroned in an O'Reilly Reloaded sequel.
In a legal filing before the hearing on Monday, Mr. Cohen said that, since 2017, he had worked as a lawyer for 10 clients, seven of whom he served by providing “strategic advice and business consulting.” The other three comprised President Trump, the Republican fund-raiser Elliott Broidy and a third person who went unnamed until Judge Wood demanded that Cohen's attorney stop dissembling and name the third client. It turned out to be Sean Hannity.
It was like a bomb went off in the courtroom.
Michael Avenatti
Mr. Hannity denied on Monday that he was ever a client of Mr. Cohen’s, saying that he had never paid him for his services and that his discussions with him were brief and centered on real estate.
Hannity went on to contradict himself, and say that he believed his discussions with Cohen were protected under attorney/client privilege.
Of those three Cohen clients, it is undisputed that two wanted Cohen to cover up scandalous sex affairs. It was Cohen himself who grouped Hannity with those two, and not with the other seven.
Hannity is claiming that his "brief discussions, centered on real estate" would not qualify as "strategic advice and business consulting". He's also calling Michael Cohen's attorney a liar, and accusing him of lying to a judge in Federal court.
Not only are the all the rats scurrying to get off the PSS Trumptanic as fast as possible, they're cannibalizing each other on the way out.

According to his forthcoming book “Higher Loyalty,” Comey—who was unceremoniously fired by Trump to take “pressure” off the Russia investigation—writes he does not recall having ever seen the president laugh.
“I don’t recall seeing him laugh, ever,” Comey wrote. “Not during small talk before meetings. Not in a conversation. Not even here, during an ostensibly relaxed dinner.”
“I suspect his apparent inability to do so is rooted in deep insecurity, his inability to be vulnerable or to risk himself by appreciating the humor of others, which, on reflection, is really very sad in a leader, and a little scary in a president,” Comey added.

I've seen it many times that a sitting president cannot be indicted, but why not?
an indictment is nothing but an accusation, although formal. Should not the legal establishment, having evidence of a criminal act by a President, not be allowed to so state?
It is NOT a conviction.

Ken M,
Trump could try to control how a grand jury was convened, and pervert the course of justice. Even if there was no actual impropriety, the appearance of it would still be there. It would contaminate any result.
The most direct, foolproof and unassailable procedure would be to impeach him and remove him from office, and afterward indict and try him in court.
When a man is sent before a firing squad, he is always disarmed first, to take away any power he could use to disrupt the proceedings.
Trump has spent over $2 million in campaign contributions for lawyers. The money was donated to his reelection fund, but is being used to pay lawyers to deal with Trump's ever-widening compendium of scandal.
Campaign funds were also paid to the Trump Corp., which is owned by his sons, Tweedledumb and Tweedledumber.
Trump's lawyers and his sons received one of five campaign donation dollars this year

I've seen it many times that a sitting president cannot be indicted,
...mostly by people who don’t want to see him indicted.
There isn’t constitutional immunity for a President. There is for senators and congressmen going to and from congress for CIVIL cases, but none for a president. Not included in Congressional immunity are treason, felonies, or breach of peace. If you have a grievance against a congressman, wait until Congress isn’t in session unless is about a bar fight or something.
https://definitions.uslegal.com/c/congressional-immunity/
Charles Pinckney, a signer of the Constitution, said, “No privilege of this kind [given to Congress] was intended for your Executive” because “no subject had been more abused than privilege.”
SCOTUS in Gravel v. United States (1972) said, “the so called executive privilege has never been applied to shield executive officers from prosecution for crime.”

According to sources....
Cohen was representing Hannity on his child sex trafficking case
and a pay off to his gay boyfriend
and his Russian collusion, uranium stock, puppy strangling, and illegal gun sales
what else can we accuse him of, Hannity style!

Listen carefully to Hannity when he speaks, and you can hear him say things like:
Nobody can fault Donald Trump for chasing women. I am also unable to resist ovine lady.
a pay off to his gay boyfriend
If I had a bookie, I would bet money on that one.
I've only seen Hannity's belligerent drill-sergeant act a few times, but he reminds me of a gym class bully who only goes after little kids.
Hannity is the type of guy whose hair stays combed in the water. When younger, he would have been called a Greaser. Today, he is so aggressive in pushing his flawed viewpoint, he seems a natural candidate for leather fetishism.
Why is it inappropriate to play according to Hannity's own rules? He is a master of almost-libelous statements. It's his schtick, and why his audience tunes in to him.
