I just signed up. Looking forward to friends old and new. Hoping I can recognize the really old friends.

The Gulch herself, now, she's one of my oldest friends. We've only had a few years together, stretched over a bunch of decades, and I've been kind of unattentive recently. No offense, dear girl. They've been some of the best years of my life, y'know. When I get there, let's just sit down by the river and get re-acquainted.

She's been performing a little self-face-lift, I hear. A bit of the exfoliation treatment, like lately above the Ahwahnee. Hoping I still recognize her.

Still, that's minor compared to the cataclysmic shakeup I hear she's got planned. Whole lotta shakin' comin' down. Someday. Trouble is, she won't say exactly when. Always the coy one.

Pennsylenvy -- take it with a grain of salt. If there weren't a few rules tossed out, what would be the fun of being an outlaw? If there weren't some badges and Republicans to spar with, we might end up dissing each other, y'know?

I made it three years ago and work has interfered since then. This year I won't be there because I will be in Munich for Oktoberfest.

The best memory I brought home was a sign I found on the banks of the Merced. It reads " Area Closed. Restoration in progress."

I was told it probably washed away in the flood.It looks pretty nice in my living room.

odd post, mighty hiker.. dirtbaggers are stealthy low profile climbers... now those RV'ers with the 15 kids, pool side equipment, boom box, two kegs, 4 barking dogs and backup generator .. now they seem pretty noisy to me...not to mention all that light from the propane lamps and marine spotters.. fear of the dirtbagger is kinda funny here. peace out LP

Planning to be there, and really looking forward to it! Last year I was packed up and walking to the car to drive south when I got the terrible call about my son's accident, had to race to the airport instead.

Lets all hope for a smooth uneventful September, we are all way tired of disasters.

Hey DR! see you there.

Still working some details but hopefully Wed. 23 - Sun. 27th

And I think that Fattrad has the right idea and although I dont drink anymore, I can still have a hell of a good time with people that do.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

PH, you can't possibly not come. Your experience is likely to be very helpful, and maybe you can tell a story or two. You have nothing to fear from Lynne - except maybe her Vorpal Sword.

There's still lots of opportunity for fun - no question there. But IMHO the FaceLift isn't the right place for loud behaviour and 'music', illicit substances, excessive drinking, and so on.

Mama donallow no music round here. Mama donallow no music round here. well i don care what mama donnallow, I'll play my music anyhow. Mama donallow no music round here.
