When I put my first rack together back in '87, hexes were definitely part of the mix. But they were already being called "obsolentrics" back then, and I never used them after getting my first set of friends the next year.

The old topo for the Prow used to have a "Hex Toss" marked on it. And as I recall, I actually did a hex toss in that very spot. It took about half a dozen tries to land it since that's not something you do everyday. Good thing I had my trusty hexes.
