Extensive procedures are usually begun early like at 7AM EST. They should be nearly through provided the margin tests are rapid.
Medicine has advanced by leaps and bounds.

DIRTINEYE SUGERY UPDATE*
I just got a call from Curt's mom. Curt is out of surgery and true to his stuborn nature- is in much better shape than all the doctos were predicting. They removed a tumor the size of a large navel orange, and they were able to remove much more than was originally thought possible.
He is in lots of pain, but they were able to restore many of his internal organs back to their original positions which should relieve the extreme pain he has been enduring. (The list of everything they operated on is so long I can't remember them all.) He should be back home in a week. Getting him off some of the pain meds will certainly improve his temper (a little- LOL), and you can look foreward to more of his posts in the future.
