Now you make a fine line judgement. "unsolicited" So you justify your snide comments by saying people asked for it. You complain whenever people make snide comments about cops or christians, you take their general comments personally.
Are you saying you have never made a snide comment about liberals in general? Because people take this personally just like you take it personally when others make snide comments about Christians or Policemen.

John, just because someone is too sensitive and takes a "general" comment "personally" doesn't mean that it was a "personal" comment.
Please show examples of where I personally attcaked someone without provocation.
If people mention my religion and my name is included, it is a personal attack. If they just mention my religion, i will defend it but not take it personally. Please start making some sense instead of just babbling.

Lois, I have great respect for you and consider you a positive and moderating influence on ST forum. But there is valid issue with referencing members as “stalkers” and “creepy old men” without correct or well grounded cause.
We who grew up under the Oprah umbrella learned to wear victimization on our shirtsleeve. I admit I employed that in pursuing my own agenda. In the present, 2008 context, the word “stalker” implies rapacious and even homicidal tendencies. It can devastate the lives of individuals who are unjustly labeled “stalkers” and “predators”. Those labels should only be applied to those who are worthy of them.
T.R. has much to offer and I would hate to see her leave. But the critical attention drawn to her using such “heated” expressions is correct and should be addressed. I believe she did so under the duress of defending herself (I understand the feeling). She’s NOT the locus of the major verbal atrocities on this forum.
How far will we go targeting one another for emotional torture and humiliation? While the “stalker” labeling issue is not overstated it’s distinctly overwrought. Apologies and a little forgiveness will do more to heal this matter than shrugging it off as a tempest in a teapot. Of course, apologies and forgiveness require laying our pride on the shelf, a difficult prescription.
T.R. is a quality lady, certainly intelligent, pretty and can be very sweet and engaging. Mistakes have been made (as we all make them). With a little discernment and discretion those mistakes will not be repeated. And T.R. will be of great value to this online community with her enthusiasm and lust for living.

Develop something called a thick skin.
